The Problem With William

Recommended Posts

Poor, poor William Carter. He has lost everything he ever cared about. Money was always a problem. Now, Will could scoff at the thought of even one million dollars. None of that mattered. What truly mattered to him was gone. Poor Charlie. To think he caused the act which lead to her change into whatever devilish form she is in now. "I'm so sorry, Charlie", he'll say, minute after minute, guilt filling in every living cell in his body. But that guilt is what They feed off of. Whatever They did to him, it wasn't healthy for any human being. William has been warped into something that isn't more of a man, but a devil. But that's what the Nightmare Throne does; eat away at the victim until reality means nothing.

What's this? No...it can't be! Someone has found William's Maxwell's portal?! No matter... not even the toughest strongman could manage their way through each unrelenting world. However... you could take this opportunity to become free of the burden that is the Throne. Yet you act out of spite towards them. Why is this? With every world they pass, you grow angrier, turning more into the devil you are. But this is your chance of freedom, why would you give that up by trying to kill your rescuer? Oh...that's it. For once in your life, you are in power. Most laws can go in your favor. But with great power comes great responsibility the demonic power you have, all can go wrong, and you pay an even greater amount. So while they take pity on you, they are overthrowing you. But no one in their right mind would want that kind of torture! Unless you aren't in your right mind. Power has corrupted you. All that evil has driven you to insanity. So while any one may view you has sane, your reign on the Throne has made you has insane as anyone could be. But you don't see it. Crazy people don't see they're crazy.

So perhaps your sanity was just an illusion, William. Insanity. Has. Won.
