Server Types

     So I was reading through the posts Klei made explaining that servers would show up on a list like many other games, and most of them would be dedicated and ran by Klei or players. But will there be a personal server application available to where one could run it and shut it down when they so please? This could be very desirable to people looking to only play with a small group of friends, or simply a server owner putting it up for he and a buddy to do co-op survival. That would be the type of thing i'm looking for. If that kind of thing is not already planned, I hope an alternative could be made.
