Sasuga
When Don't Starve was released, I checked the game out on Steam because the art style and such interested me. However, when I saw the videos I had no clue what I was looking at, the videos made no sense to me, and I decided not to buy the game. About three months ago I was watching someone else play the game and realized it was a survival style game, which is one of my favorite genres. Now, now, you might think 'no duh'... but Honestly, when I first saw Don't Starve I thought it was some sort of RPG with a Little Red Riding Hood type story... and perhaps in a way it still kind of is. I ended up buying the game and am currently pretty addicted to it.... ... I went back to steam and watched the videos and got some laughs out of it. "Throw Parties, Don't Starve..." ... Haha, I got the jokes. Then I realized... ! ... The videos are funny to people who know what Don't Starve is. They're great videos, if you've played the game. However, if you haven't played the game before, they're not that great because you don't understand what's going on when the tentacles are attacking the pigs, and when you're burning down pig houses, etc. All the jokes in the video are in-side-jokes. So, you might want to rethink your ad videos. =-=-=-=Edit: Had to correct auto-correct. ThePreChewedTree
I fully agree. I was confused with the trailer too. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/37726-steam-videos/#findComment-503363 Share on other sites
