Question regarding no achievements. Developers please answer

So, i would like to know if there is a reason in particular why here are no steam achievements and only the

Accomplishrine on Ps4 (which was, according to the wiki only added because the developers were "forced").

SethR (I think it was SethR) answered this in a livestream. They didn't want achievment because the game is about exploring and surviving, not trying to get shiny little pictures to boast about. something along those lines.

The article is all about Don't Starve's design, and it talks about how the current game purposely doesn't have achievements. They actually did include a "laundry list of goal" for the players to go through, but they found out how pointless and boring it made the game. The Devs wanted the players to make their own goals with their experiences.

They always stream on someone else's channel. They don't actually have their own livestreaming channel, they ask other streamers if they are able to use it.

They usually announce it in the forums. Keep an eye out for updates, you never know when the Devs want to have a livestream.
