Character Modding Question, I NEED HELP!

Hi there,

 

English is not my mother tongue, so there may some mistake on grammar or somewhere.

 

Here is my problem, I was prepare to make a custom character mod which base on my girlfriend as her birthday present. It's a simple mod, character has some special skill and talks like her. Most part of this mod has done. But when I enter the mod choosing page, no icon is shown in front of my mod. I thought this may be my mistake, so I double check "modicon.xml", "modinfo.lua", "modmain.lua" and all files in "images" fold. I didn't find any bug. Then I download some very popular custom character mod on our website. Because I never use them before, I want to make sure if it's my mistake to cause the bug.

 

They can't show the icon too. Not only the mod's icon, buy also the character's picture on character choosing page is not showing too (after you click "play", "new game", "character" button.).

I'm not sure you guys can see these picture. In the simple, the icon and the character's picture of this mod are all black.

 

So I thought the files may be broken somewhere, I delete the game, and install it again. This problem still there. I have no idea what is going on, and totally broke down.

 

So I'm here to ask some help.

I swear. this needs to be sticked. : Whenever you post asking for help regarding ANYTHING that has to do with fixing something you've made, there is literally nothing we can do without your code. Without the mod we can't find out what is wrong with it. While some people may be able to discern the problem with back and forth 20 questions style, it's so much easier if you would just upload your broken mod.

The problem is the textures in saveslot_portraits and selectscreen_portraits need to be in power of 2 dimensions.

I didn't upload my mod, because mot only my mod has this problem, I download [satori, The Mind Reader 1.1], [seras Victoria, The Fledgling Vampire 1.7], and many other custom character mods, the same problem keep showing on my computer.

Except in a few rare cases like this. The only cause of this particular problem (black portraits) is that they were not converted with power of 2.
