presto3124 Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 I have a few suggestions to make poeple use some unused and ignored items. (1) Night Light: It is one of items many people think useless. There is only few motivation to make players reduce their sanity; to summon shadow creatures and to turn rabbit things into beard things. However, these things can be achieved by wearing a purple armulet. So, night light is too useless and just occupy precious space near your base.So, why don't we give a function of defeating shdow creatures to Night Light? I mean if a player is near it, shdow creatures can't follow you and can't try to come near the player. When people fight with giants, they have problem with managing sanity. If Night Light have this function, it can prevent death from attacks of shadow creatures after fighting giants.(2) Grass Armor: In the early stage, it could be a useful armor. But once you make a prototype of log suit, it becomes useless. In the case of bapacks, normal bapack have fewer inventory slots than piggy bagpack but doesn't reduce walking speed while piggy one does. But Grass Armor is a completely inferior good comparing with log suit.So, why don't we give a function of cooling effect to Grass Armor? Straw hat has a little cooling function, so I think it also can give that effect. However, cooling points should be far less than cooling items in dress tap. In the early stage, it is hard to collect all ingredients for floral shirt or summer frest. So, if you start at summer, it is too hard to survive. Grass armor is a lot cheaper than those items. Wearing it to prevent them burn to death, players can gain a little time to collect ingredients for floral shirt or frest.(3) Hunger Belt: It is expensive but has very limmited effect. I have made this few times but never use it to travel in caves. In my case, it was a lot better to bring stacks of honey ham than bring it. So, I think it should have additional function or more improved existing function.Why don't we give a function not to gain aggro from slurpers and monkies, or some of cave creatures. If a player wear it, they may think he or she is a member of cave creatures. I'm not sure it will be much help or incentive to wear it, but I think it is better than current state. In my case, when cave monkies turn into black ones, they were quite a big threat because I already had a problem with sanity and was chased by shadow creatures. In caves, there are so many threats so it will be helpful to have less monsters to hate you. *Weather Pain: I already mentioned it in subforum of RoG feedback and suggestion. I think it will be better to have a fucntion to start rain(storm) for weather pain. It is not that effective or valuable weapon comparing with its price. There is no item to manipulate weather, so I think it will be useful and funny.*I also think Star Caller's Staff is not that meaningful. Yellow gem is too hard to obtain but this staff has very little usefulness. I think it should be improved but I can't think how to make it useful or meaningful now.
