Wiki says it works, but when I tried it, didn't work!

The Bush hat is supposed to make hounds unaware of you. I used the bush hat like 10 seconds before one spawned and waited without getting out, yet one hound still attacked me. This was in RoG, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with RoG DLC, but the Bush hat being able to avoid Hound attacks DOES NOT WORK. In wiki it says you can, so what the heck is this?

If the enemy (in this case, hounds) has targetted you, they will still attack you even with the bush hat. Pretty sure hounds auto-target you when they come after you.

So even if I equip the Bush hat BEFORE the hounds attack me, they will still bite me? Well wiki LIES in that case! And I thought the Bush hat was a good way of avoiding hounds

 

Somebody make a mod; so that if you equip Bush hat auto-attack from the Hound attacks is to False, so they'll spawn, but won't attack you as long as you have the Bush hat being used.
