ARSOSA
*I don't speak english but it should be understandableAlways is really frustrating when I have to die to unlock new characters, and then starting a new game... Just have one question really, what am I doing before entering the adventure mode, what's the point on the adventure mode, is it worth is it different somehow the real start of the game... Honestly I don't expect that this game is not receiving any more enhancement/improvement, I may be failing and bored because I'm just standing in sandbox mode... so what's the point Look hope to not be the only or that you can give me the answer am I missing the experience, Don't Starve was meant to be played on adventure mode to really enjoy? You don't have to do it. It was meant to play the way you want to play and enjoy it. Strangerdanger101
Adventure mode is only a story mode if you think about it that is challenging. Zalyn
It can be really frustrating to keep dying and losing your progress, but that is a style of game that we don't get to see much of lately. Computer games used to have a lot of character death where you lost everything, but with savegames and other features, it became less common. I like Don't Starve and other games that actually reward dying (like Rogue Legacy) because they help teach me to be less afraid of failing. I instead let myself have fun, take risks, and be comfortable knowing that restarting means new opportunities to learn and try new things. I do, of course, have two long-running games that I keep "safe"... When I first started playing DS, I laughed so much each time I died (even when I wanted to cry) - both at myself and at the game. I think it is good for the soul to be able to laugh at oneself more. erdmanski1341
If you are bored, definitely try adventure mode. Or try starting a game with night only settings or winter only settings. Play around with settings a bit and you can change gameplay drastically. I have had friends over to visit that play Don't Starve and while we drink we have a contest to see who can last the longest in Night and Winter only mode. Makes for a fun challenging time.
