An Artifact
Okay, that was something that has been bugging me from the day I first saw it. In Adventure mode, Maxwell wears that really cool coat, but you never get to see it in-game. Instead, when he starts up he gets nightmare equipment, which is nice and all, but seems somewhat unfitting for a personality like Maxwell. I know, he's the lord of nightmares, but he's also a dapper guy, and it doesn't seem fitting for a gentleman like him to bring full body armor and a sword. So I would suggest that instead of the nightmare armor, he gets that coat, which would have no durability and have as much defense as a grass suit, as much insulation as a breezy west, and, for the DLC, slight wetness protection. And itwould have to look cool. Like in Adventure mode. Maximum124
I think the main reason they didn't do that because of the nature of the coat, its long and Maxwell's legs would eitherclip infront of the coatstick out from behind the coat at certain frames in Maxwell's running animationor to keep them from clipping the coat's bottom half would look awkwardly big the coat would be shorter and wouldn't look like it does in adventure mode You could potentially combat this by opening the bottom of the coat up like thisBut that still wouldn't fix the clipping in the side to side animations plus Maxwell's arms/sleeves would stay the same. The coat basically becomes a fuzzy cape at that point with the coloring of Maxwell's adventure coat The other OTHER way they could do this is make it so the coat has an animation that matches up with the leg movements but that sounds incredibly tedious in and of itself Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/33106-maxwells-adventure-mode-coat/#findComment-433693 Share on other sites

Especially since armour still bobs. Also, the coat and his jacket are the same colour. At elast, when he's an NPC. My "Better Maxwell" fixes this. I was actually thinking of making a mod that adds both my better Maxwell and the coat to be both craftable, and have Maxwell start with it. It should be possible. If you can make it I'd love to see it, because Maxwell's coat has to be my favorite thing that he wears ahahah. I just stated the problems that I ran into when I was trying to make a character with a poncho because other then the skirts the game doesn't really like functional flow-y clothes Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/33106-maxwells-adventure-mode-coat/#findComment-433708 Share on other sites
