Has anyone ever had their game change to 100% dark/night time? It just happened to me

Came back up from Ruins, world is completely dark, has been for 3 days now.. is this a thing from before or a new thing? Maybe a bug?

 

EDIT: It seems the game thinks  I am still in a cave because there is a beam of light above ground like those you usually see in caves

That was just me providing a completely unhelpful joke that only creepypastaers would get.  Unfortunately I don't know what's going on with your game but I'd say it's a bug.
