Playing on Steam [Mac]

I have been enjoying Don't Starve, playing on Google Chrome after purchasing it last night. I tried to enter my Steam key code yet it comes up with the error;

"An error occurred whilst installing Don't Starve ()"

I am using a Mac, is this the reason for it?

Yes, Mac and Linux versions aren't available yet, you'll have to play the Google Chrome version for now.

Mac user as well. Will my Chrome progress carry over to the Steam mac version, once it's done?

Probably not, since there is no Cloud saving or anything similar

That's a bummer... Maybe I should wait then..

You can transfer your save data over manually, it's a pain in the ass to do, but it works.

Actually it's already been asked many times before, one of the developers gave a pretty decent method:

Hi Skaza,

You should be able to follow these directions to import your save file:

Copy this URL and put it into chrome:

filesystem:http://dontstarve-release.appspot.com/persistent/

Right click on each file and save them into a folder somewhere (And remember where it is)

Open Don't Starve and choose import, Select that folder and import your save!
