Spazmatic
Necro'ing this thread.I hate to do that and I'm sorry, but it is either that or make a completely new thread for a few new ideas and such.Gonna use this thread for all of my suggestions in the future probably.Anyhow, some new ideas I thought off..Baby warior spidersAfter you kill a spider queen there is a very small chance she will drop a small spider egg, unlike the normal spider eggs it is a bit smaller.Either you would keep the egg in your inventory and it will hatch automatically after a while,or that you would threat them the same as tallbird eggs, just on a different way:Spider eggs need to be cool,so on the ground during the evening/night,away from your fire. After about 2 nights or so the egg would hatch and you will have your very own spider warrior baby! This little fella will jump towards enemies and bite them,in a similar way like normal warrior spiders do.The baby warrior spider eats any meat type, but it prefers monster meat. When it get's evening and you have no hat equipped, the fella will jump on your head and fall asleep, also acting as a protective helmet, but not as efective as a football helmet.SkunkAh,skunks.Smelly animals indeed. The way I see a skunk in Don't Starve is a skunk that releases toxins once every while if it is in your viccinity.Standing in the little toxic cloud will damage you.But here's the deal:If a skunk releases it's toxic gas near plants,it will make them wither, and they require manure to be harvestable again. Also your crops will die when near toxic gas,so you don't want to bother the skunk too much, unless you are far away from your plants.Have not thought of yet what it would drop and what uses said drop would have.New biome, gasmask and The HollowA new biome called the Deadlands. There is a fog hanging in the deadlands that is more yellowish of color than the normal fog,and staying inside the fog will damage you.Unless you wear a gasmask. You can make it with silk, reeds and beefalo wool.It has a percentage, but that doesn't mean it can be destroyed. The percentage indicates how long the gasmask will still protect you.You got to add berries to your gasmask to neutralize the toxic fog.An indicator of the deadlands before the fog would be beefalo skulls and there are dead fish in pools aswell. The deadlands could have a lot of resources, like rocks and such, and even a way to "respawn" rocks. There are areas in the deadlands that look a bit like oil,and slow you down while walking through it aswell. At random intervals and locations there can emerge rocks from the "oil",due to a logic that is uncomprehensible by humans and scientists. But not all is just a dangerous biome with resources. You are definately not the only one alive in the Deadlands. There are things beneath the surface, and one hell of a monster that emerges from the "oil"..And there is the Hollow.Throughout the deadlands are hollow treesthat are seemingly empty, but some of them are habited by the hollow,a nasty mutated creature which hands reach out of the hollow tree, trying to slash your face. You can attack it's hands or burn the tree down to get rid of it easily.
