after a season ends you get a load screen that ill change your world, so every season your land would have a different lay out some seasons you will have more of one type of biome and less of others

summer: hot no swamp. new desert

spring: more green grass area lots of birds/rabbits wild life ect

fall: lots of rain tons of swamp/marsh areas

winter: no ideas yet (don't starve)

EDIT: posted in wrong section

I agree that they will need to do something to transition between seasons, especially winter if there's lots of snow. However I'm not sure how much the bioms need to be impacted.

spring: more green grass area lots of birds/rabbits wild life ect

For this I would say the way it is right now is Spring. However, maybe flowers and carrots could spawn, to go in synch with the "renewal of life" theme. Obviously barren berry bushes and other resources should be renewed/refreshed as well (without manure).

Mmm, but I like the swamps. I like the idea of a desert biome, but I'm not sure how realistic it would be to replace an existing area with one. Or maybe I'm reading your idea wrong.

Maybe the number of tentacles could be affected by Summer, as maybe it could cause a drought, meaning fewer tentacles spawn (as they will be respawnable Soon enough).

fall: lots of rain tons of swamp/marsh areas

Actually I figured Spring would also have lots of rain, while there would be thunderstorms during Summer, but not as often as rainstorms in Spring/Autumn. And now the tentacles, which were mostly missing in Summer, would return in normal numbers.

winter: no ideas yet (don't starve)

Well the natural effects one might expect during winter: like few birds, rabbits being rare, berries no longer growing on bushes, ponds freezing over, ect.

I was thinking that on the different seasons that the length of the night should change like it happens in the real world.

Summer

the night and the pre-night are shorter

Spring

the pre-night is shorter or takes up less of the night period

Fall

the pre-night is longer or takes up more of the night period (running along with the theme of Halloween)

Winter

the night and the pre-night are longer

p.s if you use technical term could i now of them and obviously not to huge changes but subtle ones

thank you

I don't think changing the whole map would be a good idea.

What would happen with all the things you left laying around? And the structures?

Also, there a considerable time needed to map a whole new map, I would find it a little annoying being interrupted midgame for the world to generate.

I wouldn't mind if the existing biomes themselves would change accordingly; like the swamp freezing in winter killing all spiketacles, only to have a lot more (and new ones) spawning in spring.

Also, the night time changes is a nice idea, I like it.

Or trapping them under frozen ice, along wit the ponds. But yes, I could certainly see seasonal changes that one might expect (i.e. water freezing). I wonder if I've mentioned this somewhere else too...? Who knows. :)
