How so I switch to Steam?

I haven't played this game in about a year or so, and today I decided that I wanted to start playing again. I have the Chrome version, but I wanted to be able to switch to Steam. I first got the chrome version when I received an activation code from my friend. I followed the guidelines on dontstarvegame.com, but the option 'get steam key' doesn't appear in my account info. Help?

Buy the game on Steam. Chrome and Steam have different codes so your friend probably gave you a Humble Bundle Chrome key and kept the Steam keys to himself.
