<Huh.  So, maybe that shadow cage that nobody has ever broken broke because you wanted it too.  Maybe we beat those shades so easily because it was meant to be.>

Oxryklne slowly spins around to face J.

<Who are you really?>

J breaths out a heavy cloud of cigar smoke.

Who am I really? Interesting question, beetle. I've been called a lot of names. Some of them

I don't wish to repeat. But as for who I am... I am Jack. Jack Carter.

He takes a seat in a large cushioned chair in the center of the room.

But please. Call me J. I prefer it.

<Okay, Jack.  Can I just make a comment?>

Oxryklne continues to spin around.

<Your plan, if you have one, isn't exactly well thought out.  You trap yourself in a cage, hope we somehow find you, tell us how to gain the power of Ancients, then blatantly betray us.>

Oxryklne makes a strange, slow clicking sound that the group realizes is clapping.  Slow clapping, in this case.

<I've met cicadas with better plots than that.>

Hm... Perhaps you aren't as intelligent as I thought. You've never gained the power of an ancient. That's ridiculous. As for the rest of it...

J stands up, and spreads his arms, gesturing at the darkness around him.

It put on a good show, didn't it?

(That's... Uh... Allow me to make that a bit more legitimate for you.)

When Crow awoke, he was surrounded by shadows. The land beneath him was completely corrupted. Shadows swirled around Crow as he awoke, bringing him to the nether. There, he was brought to the dungeon, and was descended to the same place that the rest of the group was, chained by his arms and legs to a nearby wall. Barry glanced at Crow.

"Who are you?"

Barry nods, and begins playing a melody. The magical properties have disappeared, but the tune still sounds nice.

Unfortunately for Avam, the attic was filled with a dark, murky water. It flowed into the room, and was seemingly endless.

J pulls Lily out of the tree, but his grip remains strong. He smiles widely with glee.

Gotcha.

Lily goes unconcious, and the next thing she knows is that she's in some sort of birdcage, her ability power completely diminished. The room she is in goes down like an elevator, and she arrives near the rest of the imprisoned members.
