Blurry Text?

Just got the game, and I'm liking it so far, but there's one odd thing about it. The text for ingredients numbers are very blurry, to the point where I can't actually make them out half the time. The rest of the game looks fine, it's JUST the part of the window that lists the number of items to use for crafting. Tried fiddling with the settings but it wouldn't stop. Any ideas?

Alrighty, here's an image. I included Wilson in it, you can see he looks MUCH crisper.

Also, on second viewing, the blurring effect seems to exist in other areas as well. The main screen, for example, is mildly blurry, while Wilson still looks nice. However, it's only on those numbers that the image quality looks really bad, and whatever I do to fix them will probably effect the other minor issues.

Are you on a notebook or Netbook? Have you tried turning small textures/Netbook mode Off? Have you disabled any "Power Saving" mode off?

Have you made sure you have updated your video drivers?

What specifically is your video card? (For instance: Do you have an AMD/ATI graphics card and which model if you do? Have you checked your graphics settings and made sure texture filtering/mipmapping are not set to a low setting?)

Have you tried searching the bug tracker forum for the word blurry?

I bet it's likely one of those old issues will be what's ailing you and resolve it.

My current computer is very new, and pretty high quality, so I doubt it's due to any lack of functionality. I'll see about updating the drivers though, just in case. It's also a desktop.

NVIDIA FeForce GTX 760.

Anyway, after fiddling with some of the settings, I was able to improve things. Not sure why the image quality was only affecting Don't Starve. No other game I've been playing has had any real problems. I may have to fiddle with settings a bit more, but now I know what I need to do.

Re-installation seems to have done it. We'll see if it sticks, never seen any graphical error like this before, so I'm not sure.

Since you're using NVIDIA and you got the red speckled problem, I suggest checking the NVIDIA part of this out if it ever happens again. As truthseeker mentioned, making sure "Netbook Mode" and "Small Textures" are off should fix the blurry graphics.

I have the same nVidia 760 card, and I just wanted to say that changing the Anisotropic filtering to 2x cleared this issue up for me as well! (Changing the notebook mode and small-fonts didn't help.) Thanks all!

I'm also impacted by a similar problem.

Note that the #'s along the bar at the bottom are all reasonably crisp; it's just the #'s by ingredient lists are rather blurry. Blurry enough that generally I just work on getting more of whatever's red than actually spend time trying to decode them since the game doesn't pause when you're using these menus.

Anyway, intel graphics in my case; not NVIDIA. Seemingly no settings tool, but maybe I can manually edit some configs somewhere?
