No command-tab window switching for Mac... this drives me nuts!

I really would like to be able to command tab back-and-forth between Don't Starve and other applications without having to take DS off of full screen.

 

I'm using the standalone client, are there any plans to implement this in the future?

This is such a fantastic game that I'm really surprised that it lacks such a basic feature.

I am able to ALT + TAB on Windows normally.

 

If you can't, it is probably a problem with MAC, the devs can't implement something that manipulates other files like that

idk, Source Engine used to suck at doing that kind of thing, but they fixed it.

It's not "manipulating other files", it's just that DS recognizes the tab key only to show the map. So, pressing the command key does nothing, and when you add the tab key on top of it, it just gives you the map. As if it takes away the OS' ability to recognize command tab as its own compound shortcut, since DS splits it to give tab its own function.

I don't think that is the problem, but you can confirm that by switching the key that opens the map at the options menu. Switch from TAB to M, that should fix your problem

Good idea... Gave it a shot, but no dice. Command tab still does nothing.

In other news, I was playing this morning and there was an alert message in finder, and DS instantly minimized itself... wonder if I could set up a key command that would create an alert and minimize the game... don't know.

Anyway, thanks for the idea.
