NikMik
After the update adding HD textures to the game, mod characters show up bein made out of large black squares. The problem is fixed if I move the anim files to the main Don't Starve anim file, but it's still annoying. Is this happening to anyone else? Or is it just me? simplex
I'm not getting it. Not sure what's happening at your end.
2xeon2
I'm having the same problem, after the last update one of my mod characters instantly have their textures filled in with black. My problem was that my atlas-0.tex only had 1 mipmap, instead of another mod's 11 mipmaps. After reconverting with the TEXTool, it worked again with no problems! Maybe this will also work for you

Maybe this will also work for you Oh yes, that could cause it. The last update reenabled mipmaps on the PC. Basically every atlas should be mipmapped, except ones for images with a fixed case (such as the mod icon, but in that case it doesn't hurt to use mipmaps as well, you'll just get a bigger file size). Developer Cheerio Posted November 15, 2013 Developer Share Posted November 15, 2013 Hmm. I tried some of the character miss and I didn't have any problems but I think I can probably fix it without everyone changing their art.

I tried some of the character miss and I didn't have any problems but I think I can probably fix it without everyone changing their art. But if the culprit is lack of mipmaps, it makes sense to have the modders recreate their atlases, since they'll look much better that way.
Developer Cheerio Posted November 15, 2013 Developer Share Posted November 15, 2013 I pushed a hotfix which I think should fix this. I couldn't reproduce it locally but I have a pretty good guess as to what the problem was.

icelightknusper
I've got the same problem! But my bigger problem is (well, this might be sounding stupid) that I don't know how to mipmap.I already reconverted my atlas-0.tex with TexTool and also tried the solution with putting my anim files into the main Don't Starve files, but none of this worked for me.Can someone help me and explain how I mipmap, please? NikMik
I converted my atlas-0 into a png, and then used the Tex Creator to turn it into a tex file with mipmaps. You just have to enable them in the options of the Tex Creator.
