Endless winter in The Game is Afoot

I kept dying in this level of adventure mode, so I looked it up and I read that winter is supposed to end after about two days. I've tried to get through it three times now, but it stays winter and I'm not entirely sure what to do about it. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

The Game is Afoot is supposed to last only one day of winter unlike King of Winter. if  not, you may need to Bug Report it for suggestions what to do.

 

So, I'm not going to immediately suggest making a new world or reloading the game, but those options can work.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try doing a bug report if it really turns out to be a bug. I forgot to mention I am using some mods, I'll try disabling those first. But I'm a little confused. What do you mean by making a new world or reloading the game? Because I didn't think I had any options in adventure mode.

New World: Exit adventure mode, find the four Things and Wooden Thing, exit to new world.

Reload: Re-install and re-update DS game.

WTF?

 

Started a new game since the latest hotfix and found the Doorway, so decided to take it. 

 

 

Yep, got Game is Afoot, and it also did not end winter on day 2 and beyond.

 

Absolutely everything else was addressed on the Hotfix and/or resolved, but this was not expected. 

 

I see you addressed this in the Bug Tracker topic on this thread so I'll mention the game play-through history and why 10-days may need to be re-balanced with the current setup....
