Crafting new items out of degradable items

Recommended Posts

I expect this should remarkably low on the priority list, but it would be rather nice.

When crafting new items from degradable crafted items (IE: A Spear + A Blue Gem = An Ice Wand), it would be nice if the game selected the most degraded ingredient item to be consumed.

I like to get use out of my spears before turning them into wands, so I'm often carrying a 100% spear, a 4% spear and a blue gem. I go to craft the ice wand, and accidentally use my 100% spear.

It's my own fault, of course, but logical item prioritization would be nice.

An alternative: the quality of the final could be effected by the quality of the ingredients, much like when cooking food. If I use a 4% spear and a blue gem, I am given an ice wand that is around 20%, being generous.

Either change would be quite cool to see.

That would be a logical way for the game function.  In a slightly similar scenario, I've had grass stacks from my farm, made items and had no room left, only to discover instead of picking from the smaller stack it autograbbed from my 40 count stack, leaving me with 2 stacks that would have only been one had it used the appropriate one.  Same thing when crafting log suits and fires.

On a more unrelated note it would also be nice if we had a method of combining degraded items (15% spear with a 52% spear for example, T spikes w/ T spikes).
