Truebluehero
I'm trying to make a character mod, and I was wondering if there was a way to swap the image map that the character uses. For instance, could I make a new character using Wilson's image?
Heavenfall
If you mean the map used on the texture, then you can use Wilson's by taking the build.bin in wilson.zip (and use the atlas-0.tex in wilson.zip as reference for the texture). Truebluehero
You'll have to bear with me a bit because I'm new to this. I tried taking the atlas-0.tex and build.bin files from the wilson.zip folder in the anim folder, and moved the two files to the mod folder's anim folder and put them into wod.zip. Then I used a hex editor to replace the Wilson in build.bin with wod (the new character's zip folder name.) After starting the game like this and activating the mod, the game closed itself right before entering the game. Is this what you were trying to tell me to do, or have I done something wrong? Heavenfall
Yes, that is what you should do, but changing the build.bin is sensitive and that's probably why you crashed. I will attach the correct build.bin and then you can compare yours to mine to see what you did wrong.build.zip
Truebluehero
Awesome! Thanks much for your help. Turns out I have a bad hex editor that shows periods where there should be spaces.
