Snackyou
The first day i gather as much berries and carrots as i can, and then go looking for a rocky biome. As soo as i do, I keep mining only gold veined rocks until i have 2-3 stacks of gold, then i find a forest biome right next to a grassy biome with lots of inherent bushes around it. Other things that makes the camp optimal are the pig king, spider nests, plugged sinkhole, and ocean (because dont have to worry about mobs coming from one side). The second day i farm as much wood as possible, getting me an alchemy engine usually on the 2nd or 3rd day, make a bunch of chests for storage, and then have a supply of wood for surviving night for the next couple of days. Then i make a golden shovel or two and dig as many twigs and bushes as i can (this goes in conjuction with randomly picking up manure from beefalos). After this i collect as much grass as i can (around day 7-9 here) and store it in a chest(I dig grass whenever i have manure to support it). After this i start farming spiders and make a fridge (I use the craftable gears mod) crockpot, and drying racks. Then i go for a birdcage, and umbrella. Then i go for a beefalo hat and/or football helmet (days 13-16). Finally i make bug nets and start catching bees for bee boxes. After this i deviate what i do depending on what I need, or what i want to do. Every time i use this tactic I at least survive 3 weeks (literally have never died in less than 26 days while using this method), so i think it is pretty good.
