Recording issue?

As i've mentioned before in another post I made, I've been having trouble recording with Fraps. The yellow numbers (overlay) simply does not show up over Don't Starve, making it impossible to record.

I am aware you can change to windows mode and record that way, but when I'm done recording and try to change it back to fullscreen, the resolution says it's at 1680x1050 (my native resolution) but when I check the .ini file, it is some bizarre resolution that I have to manually change to get it back to the desired size, which is a pain.

Just recently I decided to try Dxtory. The overlay works fine, numbers show up, all is well, until I hit the record key. This message pops up:

After hitting OK, it auto closes the game.

What is going on? :s

I suggest you move this over to the bug forum. This will then get looked at by the devs more than likely. Alternatively try asking some of the others who stream and record videos.
