(I'll intro. In a beautiful way.)

The cries of a creature echoes from nearby. The sounds of something motorized mirror the wails of pigmen dying, the horrible splotch of liquid dripping onto the ground. A crazed scream of a female individual appears to bounce off of all the walls, barely audible above the din. Whoever - no, whatever it was is harming several pigs in the process of her escape.

(Okay, not beautiful.)

(Actually, pigmen target the hostile creature that attacked solely first, unless some outside force interferes and gets f*cked up. I've tested it. Multiple times. In this situation, I want the pigmen to knock the damn woman unconscious, whether it be by drugs or good ol' bludgeoning on the head. Wonderful, eh!?

They will be attacking Celina solely, since she is the one that attacked, not the others.)

Posting this up for everyone else's sake, already have the go-ahead to join with this character.

Name: Entendre (French for either "Hear", "Sound" or "Understand" depending on context)
Gender: Male
Species: Hound
Age: (I'll explain this in a second.)
~Physical Age: 3 years
~Soul Age: Unknown
Appearance:
Entrende_zps1d219ada.png
Entendre is a special Hound, one with dark purple fur of varying shades and silver eyes. While he appears to be of youthful age, the knowing look in its eyes suggests the fact that he's been around for much longer than would appear. It holds itself with an air of wisdom and knowledge, almost as if it could guess your next words before you even speak.
(Also, I don't envision Hounds as they appear in the game, hence his appearance in the image.)
Personality: Watchful, patient, calm. Entendre is above all else an observer of his surroundings, knowledgeable beyond what his species is normally capable of. He is unlikely to make a decision without first gathering what information he can gather. There are few things that can frighten him, though the command to go to Shadowfall was one of the very few that managed it. However, he cannot and will not disobey, for to do so would mean the end of his life cycles.
Abilities:
~Hound Body: Sharpened hearing, sight and scent is something all Hounds are born with as well as the natural agility and strength that normally comes with such a build. While he is never built with the same level of strength as one of his soul siblings nor the amount of dexterity as the other, but he can hold his own should combat come into play. He can only consume meat because of his body and is capable of digging through the ground in search of many things with the claws on his paws.
~Patient Resurrection: Entendre does have a way to resurrect without aid, but it's not one usually seen. When Entendre does wind up dead, he will resurrect within the body of a newly-conceived baby Hound at the first opportunity if not brought back sooner.
~Translator: Entendre was made to keep both eyes and ears on what They dare to hide from Maxwell. To this end, Maxwell granted the Hound the ability to understand all languages, both man-made and natural. When he barks, if willed, all who hear him will understand what he wishes to say.
~Wisdom: When it reincarnates, it keeps all the memories of its past lives, allowing Entendre to learn and better serve his creator. His mind works like an evolving computer. At first, it was no better than a calculator in regards to usefulness. Now, he thinks upon levels that would match geniuses.
~Data Bank: Maxwell can look into Entendre's memory at will, often times without the Hound realizing that it is happening. It is a small part of how Maxwell can often seem to predict the actions of many prisoners of the Islands. This also allows Maxwell to use Entendre's thought processes to figure out what details the Hound itself may have missed. Unfortunately, this is a one-way transaction, meaning that the Hound doesn't benefit or suffer from anything Maxwell may do with his extended memories.
Backstory: For those places that They may not allow Maxwell to see, Entendre had been created long ago to sidestep those restrictions. Through many incarnations, the young soul learned more and faster how to survive in the dangerous worlds that he was born into to better serve his creator, thankful that the man was patient with this process. Normally, his purpose has been to observe the imprisoned, to learn what may be planned so that any action taken against the Magician may be countered. However, he has noticed the influx of beings heading toward the one area even he feared, Shadowfall. Unsure if it was safe for him to emerge within the area, Maxwell teleported the Hound to a small nearby island, commanding him to watch the area for him. Understanding that his master would be unable to directly place him within Shadowfall, Entendre observed the distance between his current location and his goal, the waves that splashed between the two points and came to one conclusion. Due to the lack of way to create anything to surf on top of the unstable waves, he needed to swim under the waves. Taking a deep breath, Entendre took to under the waters, swimming with decent speed for his species and surfacing only to breathe before re-diving under the wild waves to swim in calmer waters. Fortunately for him, nothing had cared to try and take his current life...

Those who are also part of The Great (Roleplay) Experiment are getting serious spoilers here. This IS the same Entendre as in that RP in all but the parts of backstory that relate to Shadowfall. Edited by Tesability

When the soul is as old as his own, you learn many useful things. For now, though, the most useful thing learned is the ability to hide while in plain sight. As the sound of turret fire sounded throughout the area, a Hound with fur of various shades of dark-purple stayed nearby to watch with knowing silver eyes the resulting madness that would ensue for certain.

He simply shook his head at the foolish woman. What was she trying to achieve by such haphazard actions? He wanted to just let the woman die, but he had a mission to complete. And so, he began to bark toward the pigs and turrets in a authoritative tone, knowing the latter still had some level of sentience to them. The echo to his bark gave hint to the supernatural nature of this being.

"Cease your fire!"

It is strange. Though he was clearly barking out his command in a literal sense, anyone who happened to be in earshot would be able to understand him clearly.

(Someone's a little used to having a certain someone's protection. I wouldn't be surprised if this blows in his face already.)

A growl emerged from the creature's throat as the scene continued to play out before him, tail held low and hackles raised in aggravation. The Hound found himself questioning the wisdom of his creator for sending him alone instead of with his two soul siblings, though that thought was quickly shaken out of his head.

"There must be a reason for his sending me alone," he growled under his breath before walking calmly toward the madness, courage tempering the look in his silver eyes as he barked out yet another command, still confused about why the first was ignored by at least the pigs and turrets, if not the foolish human.

"I command you all to cease your fire!"

Taggard glances towards the hound, confused.  Taking one last look at the woman, he sheaths his sword and waves the pigs off.

"Take her back to her cell."  He tells a pair of pigs.  "Make sure she doesn't escape."

The servants immediately grab her by the arms and drag her away, while another group of pigs tend to the wounded.

Confusion, that is what the Hound spotted in the eyes of one of the strangers just before the order was finally obeyed, the woman finally captured and subdued.

Flicking an ear slightly in curiosity and slight worry at this emotion, he simply looked upon the surroundings. There was an obvious blood bath here, one that made his nose crinkle at the smell. If he didn't spill it, he usually can't stand the smell of it. "Do they not know me here," it barked to itself under its breath, before turning around and finding a place to disappear, almost like a watchful specter in the area.
