Shadowfall

"So, can someone tell me what is at the top of this mountain that we want? It's not like the way out is at the peak, right?"

[Blewcheese]

"The mountain is most likely the only way forward. We can't cross the river."

[Battal]

(Upwards is forwards now?  K.)

 

After a long day of climbing, the group reaches the summit.

[Blewcheese]

(I was thinking over and around. To avoid the river. And to see stuff.)

Pops sighs.

"We should rest. I'ts been quite the day."

"For once I didn't say anything..."

[Will]

"I couldn't agree more, Pops. My feet are killing me!"

[Blewcheese]

"Don't say that. They might actually start. You never know with Shadowfall. Could just be a cruel joke."

Out of breath, Joseph sits down. Pops does the same.

[Percival]

"I'm glad to stop. You owe me new Victorian shoes."

 

Fabrico sits down and take off his bloodied shoes. He lets the bandages on his feet dry in the air.

Trent keeps walking.

[Battal]

Violet's shoes come to life and rip out her trachea.

 

The group rests for a few minutes, catching their breath.  The combination of the Vortex, hard work and vertigo has taken out almost all their energy.

Even Trent began to feel weak.

[Percival]

(Hey Trentonimous, can you not make your replies to the roleplay too short? Its not bad, but it is just a snippet of small information, unless you added dialogue or information.)

[Blewcheese]

Pops sighs.

"Alright, is everyone ready to go? We can't waste much time."

[Will]

(Like in that crappy B movie, Monster High?)

"Trent, where are you going? We can't have you wondering off."

"Why not? I know all the paths here. And you sound suspicious."

[Will]

"What if you're working for Shadowfall or the Warden? You might try to tell them where we are so they can get an edge on us. And if that's not the case, there's always safety in numbers."

"Fine. Follow me then. I know a way to a ledge. "

"No thank you. Knowing our luck, the ledge will break and we'll all plummet to our untimely demise."

Pops shakes his head.
"Why do we want to go to a ledge? We're headed for the exit."

[Percival]

"Maybe he wants to kill us all" Fabrico whispers to the others under his breath.

"Do I really look evil to you?"

[Blewcheese]

Pops shrugs.

"You've been living here for years. It's not unlikely that you've been corrupted by now, especially if you don't have a soul."

Joseph looks Trent up and down.

"And you're a skeleton. Skeletons are normally pretty evil. That's how it is with the undead."

"Thanks. That makes me feel great about what I've become. The only thing worse then insulting me is a top hat full of cannonballs." (Hint hint)

[Blewcheese]

Pops shakes his head.

"These are the facts. And until we know for sure that you're trustworthy, I don't think listening to your advice is the smartest idea."
