Shadowfall

[Battal]

The group gets closer and closer to the doorway, but the Forgotten is gaining fast.  Suddenly, it vanishes in a poof of sparks, and reappears directly in front of them.  An ability the group has seen performed many times by a friend of theirs...

[Percival]

The man was the most unlucky as he nearly slammed into the creature, and only barely managed to skid and turn with his cane, a feat that was further burdened by the limited amount of scaffolding he had.

[Blewcheese]

Pops thinks a moment, then turns towards Joseph.

"Joseph! Pull out the stake!"
"What? But Kyle said that I would..."
The idea dawns on him, as he pulls out the huge splinter in his shoulder. His blood trickles down his arm, and the stream grows more and more powerful as Joseph grows paler.

[Battal]

(The Forgotten is Jakob.  Just in case you didn't figure it out.)

Fireballs ignite in the demon's hands.  Slowly, almost in slow motion, it raises its hand, preparing to throw.  At this range, it would incinerate the entire group instantly.

[Percival]

(Jakob? Sorry if I seem ignorant, but I don't have enough time to read 236 pages of roleplay. Maybe a summary?)

[Blewcheese]

(Battal's main character. He went with the group through the journey, and gave up when they got to the Soul Trap.

 

I thought the Forgotten was Pop's brother that I don't remember the name of anymore because I'm dumb. THE PLOT TWISTS)

 

Pops begins manipulating Joseph's blood, practically draining it from his body. It swirls around the Forgotten's arm, solidifying it.

[Percival]

The man, now a safe distance away, swings his cane like a staff. The gem glows black, and the scaffolding nearest to him are carved into stakes, which threw themselves into the now solidifying arm.

[Battal]

The Forgotten shrieks in pain as its arm shatters into thousands of pieces.  They stick back together, but it looks like a mass of dust attempting to solidify.  It gazes at the group in fury.

[Percival]

"Crap."

 

The man waves his cane over the wall, and it shatters, spikes emerging from the dust. He waves the cane once more, and the spikes rip themselves out of the wall and rush at the beast. Meanwhile, the dust billows and surrounds the man.

[Blewcheese]

Pops looks at Joseph, and drives the wooden stake into his own arm. Joseph yelps.

"What are you doing?"

"You've lost too much blood already, Joseph. You'll die."

Pops uses his own blood this time, sending it at The Forgotten.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snow takes a stake, cutting a slit down her arm. She dips the tip in the scarlet blood, and throws it at the Forgotten*

"You two stop. You both have already lost blood."

"But Snow, you have too. Feel your forehead."

*There is a huge gash across Snow's forehead from her landing into the platform earlier. It is gushing blood*

[Percival]

(Is everyone using my stakes? Which is okay, as some of them hit the scaffolding, impaled in the wood.)

 

The dust, now tinted red by droplets of blood, was now a great bluster, lifting the man of his feet. Just after he hovers, he throws the cane at the Forgotten, the gust following it. A few meters before the creature, the cane returns back to the man, but the rush of wind and blood keeps going, swirling in a ring, bits of wood forced out of the remaining scaffoldings and suspended in it.

[Blewcheese]

(No, we're just using wooden stakes... Or at least I think we are.)

[Battal]

(Keep in mind you're killing Jakob.)

The creature shrieks, and, as before, seems defeated.  In one final cry of fury, it unleashes a wave of heat that blasts the stakes into charcoal dust.  The scaffolding survives, but is incredibly weakened.  The towers begin to fall like dominoes.

[Will]

Violet leaps onto The Forgotten, but is immediately blasted off by her own electricity.

"Holy ****! This thing has the same electricity variant as you all! Is this someone you know!?"

[Percival]

(Who cares, I get to kill something. )

 

The man falls as his scaffolding collapses, but the surviving gust hurls itself at him and hoists him up, hovering in the air.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snow jumps to her feet after the heat knocked her over*

"Wait, only one man has ever sent a blaze of heat that hot across like that... Wait... Is this who I think it is...?"

[Ellebelly24]

"J-Jakob...?"

*Snow slowly walks towards the Forgotten*

"Jakob, is that you?"

[Ellebelly24]

"A... Friend."

*She slightly smiles*

"The bastard melted my heart before. With his heat, I mean. Not love, cause that's weird. He sent a wave of heat through this tunnel. It knocked me out, and melted my heart turning me into Sundrop, my twin sis."

[Will]

"Jakob? Wait a second, I think I have something..."
Violet quickly looks through her pockets, and produces a message in a bottle. There is a metal plate on it that simply says, "Jakob". Violet smashes the bottle on the ground, and digs the piece of paper out from under the glass shards.

"It's a letter! It's from someone named Prometheus! Maybe we can use it to get him to his senses!"

[Percival]

The man, ignoring the rest of the group, hovers over to the doorway and enters.

(Lord_Battal, I'm not even going to bother trying to immitate what Prometheus might send to Jakob in a letter. That's your job.)

"Let me read it aloud. Maybe we can invoke something. Don't let him get to me!"

"Jakob! What...?"

He turns to face Pops.

"Did you... Did you know about this?"

Pops looks away guiltily.

(Pops! Wut da wut bro!)

"Joseph!"

*Snow runs up to Joseph*

"Dude! He'll kill us!!"
