Shadowfall

"Okay, that's kinda creepy..." Jakob says, gazing into a chasm.

[Blewcheese]

Soon they find the temple of the beacon. The lake is now purple and the temple itself is upside down. A large amount of energy seems to be radiating off it.

[Will]

"Well, this is... interesting. I wonder if we will become upside down when we enter... if so, we cannot afford to fall off anything. I don't feel like exploding in the space of Joseph's brain."

*Snow shrugs*

"It doesn't seem too bad."

(Double post!!!)

*Snow jumps up, to go through the entrance of the tunnel. She catches the rim of the door way*

When Snowfall enters the temple, she sees that one half of the first room is completely on fire, and the other half is freezing cold. The ice and the fire seem to make contact but they don't react to each other.

*Snowfall walks on the icy side*

"Thank god Joseph thought of having a side for part of the group, and a side for Jakob."

[Battal]

"Yeah.  Although it would've been a lot less stranger if the place was just normal." Jakob says, walking straight through the flames.

[Blewcheese]

At that, Dark Will's voice echos through the temple.

"It seems rather odd that most of this sanctuary has been fire themed. Do you guys think that, perhaps, we should light this room ablaze? It might reveal something new."

The fire then begins to overtake the snow.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snowfall jumps, trying to keep the snows strength over powering the fire*

"Can we get out of this place soon?"

[Blewcheese]

As Snowfall makes the effort, however, a large pile of snow is launched from her side of the room at Jakob as the tables turn and the snow begin eating at the fire, spreading towards Jakob.

"Sh*t!"

*Snowfall starts decreasing the strength in the snow*

"This is bad."

Jakob starts trying to empower the fire so the rooms can have equal footing once more.

[Blewcheese]

However, as Jakob pushes and Snowfall pulls, flames are sent sprawling at Snowfall.

*Snowfall stops and focuses on equality between heat and cold*

[Battal]

"Snowfall, it's alright!  I can deal with the cold, at least for a short time."

With that, Jakob stops struggling and allows the snow to advance.

[Blewcheese]

The snow overtakes the fire almost instantly, and it isn't long before snow is covering Jakob up to his knees.

[Battal]

Jakob's face constricts in pain.  "Let's - get out - of here!"

[Blewcheese]

As they move forward towards the staircase, the room simply seems to extend. For ever step they take, the staircase moves a step away.

I can't hold the bridge much longer... You have thirty minutes at best.

[Battal]

"Oh - great!" 

Jakob winces in pain as the snow burns into his skin.

"Snowfall, we - arghh! -we need...to move...faster..."

[Ellebelly24]

*Snowfall skates across ice that forms where her feet touch the ground. She grabs Jakob's hand and skates faster. But something seemed off about Snowfall. As her hand touched Jakob's, her hand was hot, sending a wave of heat through Jakob*

"Don't worry, I can get us there pretty fast."

[Ellebelly24]

(I have no idea what to do right now...)

[Battal]

(We're kinda waiting on Blew...)

[Blewcheese]

(Gah! Sorry!)

Although the end of the room moves away, Snowfall does gain a minuscule amount of ground.

*Snowfall continues to gain speed*

"Have any bright ideas this time Jakob?"
