The Masked Man jumps down from the ceiling, looking for Jakob. His heat sensors display nothing. He gives an expression that could be interpreted as ,"He might be underground. I'm going down there." The man salutes, and runs off stage to the staircase.

Sorry about the mistake. Misread Battal's post.

(Okay, here we go!  Soul Trap time!)

<Whelp, I'm dead.  That's it, then.>

Jakob opens his eyes.  He is laying flat on the ground, his head looking up at the sky.  It was pretty, in a terrifying sort of way.  Like an upside-down whirlpool of energy and dark power.  He stood up, taking in his surroundings.  Whatever he had been expecting, this was not it; the world he was in now was a vast craggy expanse of wasteland.  There was not a piece of shrubbery to be seen, save for some scraggly leaveless trees.  Lightning was constantly cracking across the whirlpool sky, and the air was filled with static, like before a thunderstorm.

The rest of the group was nowhere to be seen, so Jakob started shouting.  "Joseph!  Snowfall!  You there?"

(Right, so, uhm. Now that we're back on track and not derailing and trying to kill each other, I best find a way to...get back into here?)

And, sitting on the ground a small while away, was the little girl. Again. For some reason she keeps appearing at the most unlikely of places! Here, though, she has two shadows. Which is odd. Her eyes seem more black than gold now and she's openly grinning, revealing a maw of sharp, sharp teeth all lined up and a little bloodied. Her peals of laughter echo through the wasteland like the ring of a bell.

"Well done! Good show, bravo, bravo! Will you do it again? Please? But this time, I want you to try and fight him. It'd just make it so much more fun!"

Some of the more observant would've seen her in the mass of demons, shades and other monsters, cheering and waving at the group - but they may have been too preoccupied with their deaths to notice. But if they died and woke up here...then how did she get here? Did she die in the space of time it took for them to wake up? How long had they been there for?

"It needed more yelling, though. So next time, at least yell in terror...I was quite disappointed in your performance. So! What next, hm? What games shall we play next?"

The girl leans forward, hands in her lap, smiling eagerly and, seemingly, waiting for a new game to play.

"Snowfall! You're alive... I think. Or something. I don't even know anymore..."

He smiles and waves at Snowfall, still disturbed by the girl. He turns to face her.

"Now we're going to play... Uh... Escape the afterlife and beat Shadowfall. That sounds fun."
