Joseph nods in agreement, still managing to remain calm.

"And if I were you, I would hope that you aren't a shade spy, either, Wally."

His hands had begun to faintly glow, managing to light a small area around the group.

[Ellebelly24]

"Hey your telekeneticky thing is working again Joe!"

[Blewcheese]

Joseph nods.

"So it is. And please don't call me Joe. It's such a boring name."

[Ellebelly24]

"Meh. Snowfall gets boring too."

[Blewcheese]

"Well, yeah, but Snowfall is a unique name. How many people do you know that are named Joe? Or Joseph?"

[Ellebelly24]

"I actually only know one person, besides you, named Joe. And he runs the coffee shop back where I'm from."

[Will]

"Enough small talk. We need to move forward."

Will stuffs the chunk of iron ore in his sack, and sheathes his blade.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snowfall rolls her eyes*

"K, I guess Will is right. Lets go."

[Battal]

The group heads towards the small dot of sunlight in the distance.  Finally, they reach the exit of the pass.  Their eyes take a moment to adjust to the light, but Jakob is glad to be out of the dark nonetheless.

[WalrusMan]

"Whoa. I haven't seen light for 3 months.... I think."

[Blewcheese]

"Three months?"

Joseph's hands return to normal, and he looks around.

"Are we close to the first beacon?"

[Battal]

Viti-Mortos waves his arm.

"​Look around you."

The group stands on a small ledge on the edge of an enormous valley.  Gigantic granite cliffs rise like walls all around them, waterfalls rushing down them into the valley.  The valley is dominated by a large lake directly in the middle, which is surrounded by forest.  On the far side of the valley sits a white and gold pagoda-like building.

"That is the temple." Viti-Mortos says, gesturing at the pagoda.  ​"The Beacon shall be held beneath it, in the catacombs."

[Blewcheese]

Joseph nods, taking in the scenery.

"Any dangers that we should know about?"

[Battal]

"Well, Viti talked about traps and robot Guardian things...I wonder, are they clockworks?"

"These are not clockworks.  These are built by the ancients, hewn from stone and imbued with spirits.  They are extremely powerful, but they have three weak spots; the Soul Stones that power them.

[Blewcheese]

Joseph nods.

"Alright, so aim for the stones. That should be easy... How many could there be? A few? Many?"

[Battal]

"I do not know.  As I said before, I have never seen one."

 

"Alright, then.  Well...adventure, ho!"

 

Taking a step onto the stairway carved into the cliff, the group begins the climb down into the valley.

"Yeah adventure!"

*Snowfall starts to dash ahead of them*

[Blewcheese]

"Hey, Snow, wait up!"

Joseph looks around, admiring the scenery.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snow fall giggles as she does tricks while she runs*

[Will]

"Well, I'm going to scout from the air. I'll be careful."

Will extracts a grapple hook from his satchel, and shoots the opposite wall. He hammers a hook into the wall, welds it with a blowtorch, and begins to slide across. When he is halfway, he shoots another rope to his left. After making his way across, he runs to the opposite side of the new rope and settles in a new hook. Will slides into the exact center, and looks down for anything useful.

[Battal]

Jakob and Viti-Mortos navigate carefully down the staircase.  Reaching the base of the valley, they start making their way to the pagoda.

[Blewcheese]

Joseph follows Jakob and Viti, observing his surroundings silently.

[Battal]

Jakob climbs a log over one of the streams pouring into the lake, then walks over to the lake itself.  As he draws close to it, he thinks that he sees something moving under the surface.

 

"Uhh, guys?  i think there's something in the lake..."

[Blewcheese]

Joseph pries his eyes from the forest and looks at Jakob.

"Well, spit it out. What do you see?"

He looks into the lake, and his eyes widen with alert. Whatever was in the lake seemed to be getting closer...
