(Morning guys! Bit of a post here from me, I wanted to get everything into one post. Just make sure to read carefully, I put some hints in there. >:3)

"You let your guard down so easy!  Some crazy girl just lead us to this guy, and you instantly trust him?!?!?!  What if it's a trap?"

The words echo across the smooth grey walls of the mountain pass and bounce off of the cliffs. The atmosphere changes as if the mountain pass itself was holding its breath, waiting for a new development in the situation. There is no response, as it's eerily quiet and one would almost think that the little girl left ages ago.

"Stay back, or I slit your accomplice's throat!"

More silence. Whatever the girl was doing, it's clearly not here. Her interest probably fled and took her feet with it.

The boy gibbered on quietly and nothing even happens when something forced its way out of his lips and started attacking him. Only when Jakob drops the body does something occur - a soft Whoomp sound that came from just outside of the light from the flashlights. Again, the impeccable English accent, in a voice of baffled innocence that can only really come from a little girl. "I dunno, mister...Why call me crazy when you threatened to kill a young boy?"

The little girl stepped into the light to stare down at the boy for a while and give him a nudge with her foot. "I think he's older than me." she mused idly, in a sing-song voice. She picks up the knife - which would probably set people on edge again - and tosses it over her shoulder into the dark, where the blade clatters into some dark little corner out of the way.

"Uh...did you get lost or something? 'Cause I can show you the way out...?" asked the little girl curiously, jabbing a thumb over her shoulder into the dark. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her in the slightest - okay, perhaps her movements were a bit erratic when she's in the dark but who can really tell that it's actually her? It could have been something else, which would be far more worrying. "One condition, though: Take the young lad with you, please."

The little girl ran her nails through her sleek, shiny and very long black hair. She looked down at the unconscious boy before him without the slightest hint of care or affection, but some sort of detached impatience with him - as if he was constantly, constantly a bother on her. All this time she's been clearly avoiding Viti-Mortos' gaze as she used her filthy sleeve to wipe the blood off of the boy's nose, explaining "He became really boring when he stopped trying to fight, so I don't really want him. 'Sides, he should be looking after himself. I'm younger than him and he just let me do all the work."

Then it becomes clear - the scattered ashes of a campfire, the bones of cooked food...probably all this girl's work to keep him alive, at the very least. But the real question is - if she's been getting these animals, then how? And why is she so thin when the boy is clearly well-fed? And again, that weird fascination with Viti-Mortos shows. She looks intently at the shade and pushes her way past people to get close enough to him to mouth the words "You got caught?" to the shade, unseen by everyone else. She waits patiently for a simple nod or shake of his head, completely dismissing the unconscious boy entirely. It would strike people as funny that she takes such an interest in the demon over anything else, and how she seemingly barely eats but insists to feed that other child.

"Well, demons have a common phrase they use, 'leveraging their assets'. It's when the side they were previously on, whether good, evil, or neutral, is no longer helping them and that they are saying they will help you because it helps them as well. Dark Will loved to say that was the reason he helped us, but I know that wasn't it."
