"Great, now we just need a way to keep him in the same place."

[Blewcheese]

"Well, he's hiding apparently. I'm sure we can get some progress if we can interrupt his grow to take over the world thing."

[Battal]

"Shadowfall shall not be relocating his position until his ritual is complete.  He has already built his dark construct, and shall not waste time reconstructing it somewhere else."

[Will]

"Stab him until he dies? Okay, that should be a fun time."

[Battal]

"So, what can we expect to find in the temple?"

"The Creators will have set many traps, and left behind many Guardians.  They are enormous beings of of machine and magic, and shall not be easily defeated."

[Blewcheese]

"Oh. Good. Do they have any weaknesses we should look for...?"

[Battal]

"I do not know.  I have never crossed claws with one."

[Battal]

"Well, sounds good!  Shouldn't be too hard."

[Blewcheese]

(Hoorah!)

"I don't know whether or not I hope that's sarcasm."

Joseph follows closely behind, weary of his surroundings.

"I'm not really in the mood to fight... How long till the next fight?"

[Battal]

​"It is a very far way.  On the way, we may pass a group of dwellings; or, where they used to stand.  Quite famous; group of demons and humans once lived there.  Almost escaped, too...but Shadowfall's legions killed them all years ago."

[Blewcheese]

"Years ago? How long is this, ten? A hundred?"

[Battal]

"I can't say, exactly."

[Blewcheese]

Joseph nods.

"Fair enough... Can we expect to see any leftovers of Shadowfall's army around there?"

[Battal]

"I fear he may have left behind a few demons, but there should be quite a few useful supplies."

[Blewcheese]

"Okay. Demons. Good. Perfect."

He sighs, and massages his temples for a moment.

[Battal]

"Don't worry, Joseph.  We've faced worse."

The group comes to an old dirt path.  

[Blewcheese]

"Dirt path... This might lead to the village. Everyone ready for some demon fights?"

[Battal]

"I doubt this is the path to the village.  There are many roads like this crossing the Prison."

[Blewcheese]

"The Prison? So now we're in a prison? What are you talking about?"

Joseph begins to look concerned.

[Battal]

"We shades call this place the Prison because that is what it was created to be.  Originally, there was nothing here but Shadowfall's prison; but They grew greedy and expanded it beyond just that place."

"Oh, so you mean this world is the prison. Well... That's a fitting name, I suppose."

He continues walking.

"So, Viti-Mortos, tell us about yourself."

[Battal]

Viti-Mortos growls.

"I may be in your service, but this does not mean that I must tell you about myself."

[Blewcheese]

"Oh, um, apologies. My curiosity must have gotten the better of me."

He winces as his earlier word choice. He hadn't meant to sound demanding, but that was most likely what it sounded like.
