They notice him almost immediately, and the bishops fire some of their shots, which John manages to deflect with shadow magic. Azreth then runs over to taking out more knights and helping John with the bishops. Nearly half of the clockworks are scrap metal now. However, John took a direct hit to the arm which has been paralyzed. He gestures at the rook with his movable arm, and he charges in, sword poised to strike.
