Sebastiangperez Posted July 5 Share Posted July 5 Just for Oxygen Production, i think is the best Because between that you have a ton of Salt Water , Gayses, and you can use those Tidal Springs + a Battery + 10w light bulb + Flue Coral , and for lime you have Slogo that eats Salt, you have a perfect reusable oxygen production. Iridium is far more useful than anything on the aquatic asteroid- and more useful than anything but super lategame materials for that matter. But ignoring iridium, they're roughly the same. They both have an absurdly efficient oxygen producing method (lumbs and flu coral) they both have free glassy production methods (flytrap amber vs clampearls) the main advantage APP has is the free power, cheap rubber, and cheap steel. But PPP has iridium. And iridium trumps all of that by quite a wide margin. The Aquatic DLC stuff works really well on the Aquatic DLC map, and Aquatic map shakes up the meta in that you have no need for traditional solutions like SPOM, but mostly only specifically on Aquatic map, a lot of the good stuff is gated behind polluted brine (putting aside some wild-planting with Pips). Slogos are theoretically useful as a fountain of infinite water, but since when don't you have access to a bunch of water geysers/vents? I think PPP is the most useful in general and has best synergy with base game and other DLC, the Rhexes are pretty crazy if you want an infinite water fountain, the butterflies are neat for +25% growth on plants, especially if you aren't using Grubgrubs, Irdium is great. Lura Plants can be used well with shine bugs or beetas. Lumbs can harvest plants. Just lots of useful stuff a lot of which can be used on any world. Frosty doesn't have that much useful stuff outside of Frosty map. Like, the Oxylite Sconce is nice and you can freeze biodiesel into tallow and use some Deep Fryer recipes, but most the critters and plants just straight up die at temperatures on normal maps so they are way more of a pain than PPP stuff. Just drop it in your CO2 pit, get bulm morph and enjoy infinite algae...
