The Scion things was a year ago, but in the world events following Wagstaff's disappearance, there are still two obvious flaws. Therefore, I wrote this post hoping that Klei could re-examine them and fix them at some point in the future.

Abandoned Junk

Generally these three workstations will be fixedly placed in the Junk Yard. However, if Scrappy Werepig spawned and occupies that area, these three workstations will be placed randomly in any location in the world. In this case, the passing Vogstad NPC will be the only clue that informs the player that they have been generated and helps the player find them.

However, after defeating Scion, the Waggstaff NPC no longer appeared, making it almost impossible to find these three workstations. Players might not realize that they were generated elsewhere until several days or even hundreds of days later, and then they would have to go and search for them. This process is cumbersome, redundant and not interesting at all.

I think a potential excellent solution to avoid this situation would be to completely remove their spawn outside the Junk Yard. If Scrappy Werepig occupies that area, simply reset the timer and try again after a certain period of time, whether it's pre-scion or post-scion.

And to be honest, I think the fact that these three workstations are still spawning things after Wagstaff's gone is quite strange in itself. It's as if Wagstaff is somehow still haunting in some way...

Mutation Boss Trio

Generally we believe that after Scion, the cycle of the Mutation Boss Trio completely disappeared. This is not accurate. Although the direct Nucleation Fluid drops replaced Wagstaff's Spark Ark awarded, this cycle still exists and affects the world. That is the Suspicious Dirt Pile.

As long as the Possessed Varg in the current cycle has not been killed, the Suspicious Dirt Pile will always spawn Varg instead of anything else.

Isn't this a bit strange? This mechanism was meaningful while Wagstaff was alive, as it was necessary for completing the task. But after that, it had no further value and ceased to exist.

Sure, Varg might need a way to ensure consistency in its generation, but it definitely shouldn't be related to Deerclops, Bearger, and Lunar Rift. The connections among these are too weak and not obvious enough. I think it should be removed along with the part of the reward that comes with the Spark Ark after Scion, so that this cycle can completely disappear from the game.
