The new DLC introduces the new mechanism that plants accept multiple types of liquid for irrigation. It is easy to control the input fluid for hydroponic tiles, but almost impossible to control that of (basic) farm tiles. Imagine some waterweeds are planted, but dupes are irrigating with (pure) water instead of the abundant salty water for, thus the water for other purpose, e.g. research becomes more scarce. Thus, a confuguration that sets the accepted fluid should be in game, just like allowing pick the excepted material for building/crafting from multiple choices.

In case a future update introduces plants accepting multiple fertilization, similar configuration can also be applied, so players can pick the expected solid for fertilization.
