Ngl I really wish shadow arc final bosses will be a content that available b4 doing bearger, so I got stuff to do between d35 to d80.

Sadly, it’s lock behind bearger again, requiring spark ark to start the fight.

Can we at least got someway to make bearger spawn in first autumn?

Not a big fans of playing 12 hours straight in public server just to experience new contents

tbh even if is possible, your team have to be insanly fast and efficent to somehow kill crystal bearger in first autumn

Bearger doens't despawn
so you have the option to spawn bearger then kill during a later season

i always thought it would be a good idea to let hostile flare spawn bearger similar to deerclops

Ya I've heard that quite a bit, that and people assuming that was alredy the case then being confused when bear wasnt spawning.
and if they for some reason don't want to do that to avoid more things using glommers goop they could make a honey flare or something, which outside of autumn could bring a already existent bear to your location for wood choping and whatnot

or maybe just remove the code that stops giants from spawning on the first season?

The game is over 15 years old, the new player grace has got to have some limits.

No dude....not again with this.

New players are NOT equipped at all for this. This idea to spawn bearger at random the first autumun was, is and always will be a bad idea/execution/game design. Klei is right for having not modified this all these years.

And this is for everyone else too, again with this topic, the solution found was like a compromise for experienced players through particular and hard methods to achieve, that new players for sure will not do. While I personally don't like too much the hostile flare take because of the spirit behind the item, that's a possible solution. By the time you discover blind and fair Gloomer, you're not anymore a new player. The same if you find its poop laying around (because yes it happens for those that don't know).

why? You're literally providing zero counter argument

it's a neutral giant that doesn't actively want to smash players up, and defeating him with a group would hand out one of the best gear to survive winter with - something said new players struggle greatly with.

New players don’t know how to equip armor. You can’t believe how many players a single deerclops able to wipe out in pub servers without veterans present in base.

And also it will destroy containers with food, I believe which is pretty fatal for new players when they can’t even kill beefalo.

So I don’t really want Klei to change those already existed mechanics, but add some new mechanics, or just let us got way to finish spark ark quest without season limit.

Okay sure. You want counter arguments? I didn't want because I'm not in the mood to write a loonnng fact-checked post, so I'll still cut it short.

1) Bearger is a giant that doesn't actively want to smash players up is false. One it does indeed directly if new players have honey or honeycombs, something that can happens, and it happened, but it's rare. Then,

2) Second, indirectly. He indirectly smash up players by going to the base, destroying everything to its path, to reach ice boxes and some chests containing foods and destroying them in the process too. If the new players hit the Bearger, of which can happen out of fear and panic, the new player will die. If the new players will not hit him, Bearger will leave (maybe, because it can still roam in the biome, so another situation to take in consideration) leaving a half-base destroyed or completely destroyed. Of which they will exit as confused and frustated. If they still have the will and force, they will try to rebuild it with half of the autumn remaining, while still learning basic things like sanity and food management mind you, and then winter hits! Oh great! All of them die.

3) IMPLYING new players can fight Bearger is absolute bonkers. New players don't know how to fight at all. They will learn it later. All they know instinctively or by other videogames is armor (A BIG MAYBE on this point, because I assure you it's TOO common for new people to not equip armors and then die instantly and get angry why they died too fast, and Bearger does 100 damage as a reminder) and attack, therefore holding F. They will tank it, an horrible idea that will finish sooner than said.

I think I made it clear during these years, because I know you Well-met, that I'm pratically the CEO of interacting and understanding new players. I can keep going, I assure you I have points for this court and they will destroy all your points. Again, new players, when learning Don't Starve through their first hours, are NOT at all equipped for Bearger. Why do you think a majority of people in the world get filtered through winter and unistall the game, something that you have said too before? It's not the temperature alone as you would think. Many ironically understand and discover the thermal stone. Not all, but many. It's also other things like Deerclops too.

Anyway, the hostile flare it's an option and with it we're all happy (I hope).

you're kind of assuming every server is nothing but new players, but in my experience there's always a couple people carrying everyone. Scoffing at free bearger vests is crazy but sure you do you

I'm not scoffing at free bearger vests my man. Give me a lot of bearger vests and insulated pack and I will be happy. It's the new players we're talking here, because they will get influenced too.

Also yeah, there are mediocre, normal, good or expert players in too. But what do you think the outcome will be? Those people will kill and obtain Bearger loot, while less new players will probably stick around or learn well the game.

It's not some kinda of optional area that you can go whenever you want. We're discussing here about the very first days of autumn. It's very important. You need to think not only for those experienced players in this specific case, or those expert players that carry other people as you said, but for new players too. For those people who play public servers, or play the normal intended vanilla worlds open or private with friends. What if those 5/6 people are all new and no expert can carry them? You need to think all of this when touching these stuff. It's what you do when you design a game.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm just explaining it to you why it's not an option full Bearger day 1.
