Pinpoket's can trivialize a lot of the games mechanics, and they have a minimal challenge to grow.  40-80c is a very easy temperature range to grow in, and refined carbon is one of the easiest resources in the game to gather with a multitude of renewable sources and flexible ingredients. They're incredibly versatile with uses such as:

High calorie, 'good' quality food that is shelf stable before cooking. Pinpoki's only requires 1 stage of cooking and require no additional ingredients.

Pinpoki's can be turned into diamonds, which previously required a very large amount of rads and studying deep into the research tree; at a cost of less input carbon.

Pinpoki's can be displayed for decor, currently this is a pretty underwhelming use of them at +10 decor.

My suggestion is to make Pinpokets harder to farm. A more challenging temperature range or awkward ingredients like obsidian or abyssalite (both now renewable with ranching) would feel appropriate for me.

Nhaaa. They sure are easy to farm but they take a lot of space and that balances them out IMO. Getting a reasonable 100kg/cycle takes a bit more than a whole standard 16*4 room with the farm plots alone which adds up very quickly as you scale up. I'm glad we get an option to obtain some diamonds without either setting up a whole reactor or loads of generators for it.

That being said, if pinpokets were to be nerfed, the new gas vent drill thing should be buffed to compensate as its value only equates to a regular geyser and some found that debatable as of now.
