It is suggested that the wardrobe can be transformed into a storage device with 25 positions, specifically for storing clothing, weapons and other equipment

This helps with the classification of items, especially when your Chest and the floor are filled with Rabbit Earmuffs and Spears.

I know that many people often sort these things with boxes or stone walls and put a Mini Sign on them. But placing special things in special positions is always pleasing to the eye for the overall planning, just as natural as Wickerbottom's Bookcase

The wardrobe is already used to change your skins/cosmetic clothing. Why does it need another function?

Scaled Furnace has had the functions of cooking and heating for a long time. Didn't it also add the function of destroying items a few years ago?

It did, but it didn't really need that function in my opinon.

I respect your opinion. It's normal for everyone to have their own views, and this is also the purpose of collecting opinions

I can expand on this a bit. When you interact with the wardrobe there is a special interface that pops up to change you skins and cosmetic outfit. When you open a chest an interface pops up for you to put items into it. I think it would be clunky if there were two potential interfaces you could get from a single building. How would you choose between the two interfaces? I just don't like the sound of it.

I would not be opposed to having a new building introduced that functions in a way you describe, but I would prefer to keep the wardrobe interface as it is, since I think altering the way it works would not be an improvement.

Regarding your concerns, I happen to have a mod here for your reference

Let me briefly describe it.  When you click the wardrobe with the left mouse button, it will be a 25-compartment limited storage box for clothes and equipment. When you right-click it, it will be used to change clothes as before

If you give this a try, you will know how tidy the base will become after applying this

By the way, it even supports Sewing Kit and Trusty Tape!

One of the changes uncomp mode makes that I think would actually be really nice. Honestly any way to store the 10 billion equippable items that clog up the ground or your chests would be nice, I'd actually probably bother to make my boss rush bases neat and tidy. As it stands I really cant be bothered making 100 chests for equipment, especially before bearger spawns.

Uncompromising Mod turns the wardrobe into a storage unit and it is not clunky at all.

Left click to open storage, right click to change skins. It really is that simple.
