key7870 Posted May 9 Share Posted May 9 Hiii!!! I'm key I decided to start a thread to post my doodles. I've been playing Don't Starve for a while now and I absolutely love the art style. So I wanted to draw some too (͏ ˉ ꈊ ˉ)✧˖° My favorite is Wilson! I'm drawn to his mix of goofiness and seriousness, plus I use him the most when I play. He kinda feels like an old friend to me (not really lol). Also the silly birds… the Doydoy and Moose/Goose are so cute I'm open to requests! You can ask for something in this thread. But I might not draw everything (my skill level may not allow itTT ) Here's a doodle to start with! I feel like the contrast between a mad scientist wearing glasses and taking them off would be really interesting... After watching the Shipwrecked trailer, I've always been curious about what Wilson looks like with wet hair. Wish it was in the game () and I found a mod for it I'm too lazy to explain the rest（） this one is the first time I drew Wilson recently, it's kinda special (I guess These few are drawn with friends... I'm so happy to be able to draw with other fans who also love Don't Starve and Wilson. I'm so excited and can't sleep!! Also kinda nervous 'cause I still don't know how to draw them yet. I tried drawing Maxwell — he's really hard for me. Huh, I only posted under the official art stream before,bt that's just a submission place. Wilson's face shape isn't really consistent... my art style is rounder, but I actually prefer the official style! If I don't purposely draw it sharper, it ends up round ww. If the face is too round, it just doesn't look like Wilson anymore( This Wilson with glasses is so cute! (i use mod）I drew him in one of the doodles above. The art style changes a bit here since these drawings span over a few years. key7870 Posted May 12 Author Share Posted May 12 (edited) I think I might have some issues with color? ... With a background, the character and background don't seem to contrast enough. The whole picture looks kinda gray! But without a background, it feels too plain... The mad scientist originally had another color version, but I ended up giving up on it. And then I have this little gray fluffball () watching me while I draw...
