This is why WARBIS and WX's Shadow Affinity are so awful.

Suppose there is a Brightshade Sword, its physical damage is variable and its planar damage is 0. Let's see its performance when facing a mob with Planar Entity Protection in different circumstances.

2026-04-26103150.png.3c4d9fe9414184ad8077102210382b41.png

black dashed line: 1.0 physical damage

red line: 1.2 physical damage (WARBIS Helmet or WX's Shadow Affinity)

purple line: 1.0 physical damage + 5 planar damage

green line: 1.1 physical damage + 5 planar damage (Brightshade Helmet)

purple point 5: The intersection point of the purple line and the red line. (This means WARBIS Helmet is inferior to 5 planar damage when physical damage is less than 54.4)

green point 6: The intersection point of the green line and the red line. (not showed in the picture as its x-coordinate is too large, which means WARBIS Helmet is inferior to Brightshade Helmet in actual game)

point 8~11: the final damage when original physical damage is 68.

I guess there is nothing more left to say.

Surely not the best, but acceptable for me, if the drone works correctly..
I really hope WX's debuff drone can change its working logic. It is so annoying that the drone keeps losing its target.

it was 25% before and was "free", now it have a cost and is only 20%, make it make sense

To reach the 20% mark, you now need a Possessed Shadow Atrium, which is only available after the rifts are opened. The base Atrium item currently provides only 10%. This value is so small that if you unlock the Lunar ability and have just a single Possessed Chassis, you can get a 50% damage increase. Furthermore, for the Lunar route, you don't even need to open the rifts; all it takes is 12 biodata and 2 scrap to get an item with infinite uses.

The boss you fight on Day 21 at the earliest increases the Dark Sword's 68 damage to a whopping 74.8. What a massive difference! I understand that the possessed chassis in the Lunar affinity require significant upkeep, but the insignificance of the shadow damage boost is simply unacceptable.

yea, before we only needed to fight the shadow pieces for 25% damage increase, now even pos rift we only get 20% and no planar damage, like WHAT? Why change when it is working fine

-5% isn't that different at all, in my opinion. But I don't like the new durability setting for the debuff drone, while Jimmy, PSU, and Roto-mapper all have infinite durability.
When I play WX, I don't really need the damage multiplier that urgently, but it definitely makes my gameplay experience more comfortable, and a 25% damage bonus won't break the character at all. (I mean, just because I don't need it, it doesn't mean it's bad.)
So, I won't go against your opinion.

Exactly. The issue is not the nerf to the damage boost, the issue is that we now need to PAY for it every time we want to use it.

A 20% passive physical dmg boost would’ve been perfectly acceptable, but instead we now need to craft drones with inconsistent targeting to attain a negligible boost that will barely affect planar mobs, then RECRAFT them in the middle of fights when they break.

The skill is simply not worth the insight point in its current state. I look forward to seeing improvements made.
