FurryEskimo
Honest question, but I've spent legit years coding in DST at this point, and I know people commission people to make mods, but do they commission people to do QA checks on mods? I've spent the last few months QA'ing my own code, and creating ways of QA'ing faster than I ever could before. Figured it might actually be a markable skill, but idk yet. Helped a buddy today review his code (Dehydrated mod) and performed QA pretty fast that he hadn't been able to get done before, just because it was too time-consuming. I've been doing stuff like checking for missing fallbacks, streamlining redundant code, and doing away with monkey patching where overused. You know, generally trying to get better at the professional standards, and I'm thinking about building a little resume of people I've been able to help. mathem99
I do, I usually code my stuff myself, but when I want it to be clearer or compatible with other mods then I usually ask someone more experienced than me for help and improve my code. Other than that, I have the artistic capacities of a goldfish, so I always ask someone else to draw stuff for me.
