So many of the trailers do this for don't starve across the board. Always thought it was funny when wilson was running at a boss with no armor or how maxwell was just running around with a dark sword fighting inkblights or figting in the lunar grotto with those gestalts that can one shot you. The pantomimed skins have been neat for the purpose of showing off more of your character rather than covering it up but I can see a hide armor thing being nice for some. Not my cup of tea but if others wish to change how something looks a bit for visual clarity or for their preference... meh, why not.
