Posted April 11 Share Posted April 11 (edited) With the new game we can get new characters and lost others like it happens before with RoG and Together so i made this post for people to discuss what character you think arent gonna make it to Ew, but i wanna go first :P. Pretty sure they are not gonna be: Wurt: Since she is not trapped and actually born in the constant why would she follow other survivors? She doesnt need or want to escape like wilson and the others, she wants to make a great new merm era and she can make it in DST so im pretty sure she is not going to follow others survivors to the danger, she is pretty comfy in swamp and the new game is maybe mermless so she doesnt have any good reason to be in the new game. Wanda: She has to be one of the most boring survivors when it comes to lore, i mean she doesnt look trapped here its more like she broken her time and she tries to fix it but what other thing she wants? why do she make the clocks to control time? she is afraid of death? she just wanted to travel in time to help wilson her maybe great great grandfather to escape? is she trapped too? cause she can actually travel using portals so im not sure about her goals at all, but im pretty sure she is not making it to new game. Winona: As much as i like my girl i think she is not gonna be in Ew, mostly cause in the trailer we dont see charlie having the control of this new dimension, we can speculate that the broken doll at the end is maybe charlie being used by the real shadow entity and she lost the control so maybe in this new game the shadow and the lunar entities fuse to create a new powerful being that uses charlie and wagstaff as cores or vessels to control the world. And i actually believe that Winona is gonna be an NPC during this new game trying to help us using wagstaff technology and maybe a tiny shadow power her sister gave her before turning into a hollow being. So im pretty sure she is not gonna be a playable character in this game but she is gonna appear just to help survivors in order to free her sister. Maybe they are not gonna be: Wormwood: I think he is less likely to be in the new game cause he born in hamlet and he doesnt look like he wants to escape but his goals as being a lunar son in constant are unclear, he looks happy having friends but im not sure if he is gonna follow the others to new dangers or maybe he is gonna stay in Together, maybe with new plant friends, maybe he is gonna turn into a tree and stop existing. Idk but i hope he is happy wherever he decides to be. Wortox: Im not sure about this one cause while is true he helped the other in some occasions he is not a human, he is not really trapped in the constant and so he doesnt need to care about escaping or helping humans to do it. He likes to play pranks here and there and he can be a very naughty being so i think he maybe can get a more antagonistic role in Dont starve elsewhere, like a harasser imp that plays little pranks and can be calmed down in some ways Idk. And please remember these are just opinions and im speculating a lot about all but you can do it and tell me what character you think are not gonna make it. Edited April 11 by Cuernito. As for winona and wormwood the ending of dst and/or the beginning of elsewhere is going to have to determine them. Personally I feel like it'd be fitting if something happens to Maxwell or Winona leading to Charlie replacing them gameplay wise. I'm more so leaning towards Maxwell getting axed because of his refresh trailer as it had him start playing both sides which leads me to believe he'll either end up with a heroic sacrifice to cement he's changed or double down on him falling back into the Parkside. There's also the potential Winona gets caught by the shadows instead in the process of freeing Charlie.
