The animations are cute or whatever but I just continue to be bewildered by the fact that spin cycle only works with axes (yes it works with maul, too niche to ever be useful outside of that) and doesn't even make you chop faster or more efficiently, and it's single target. redigestion is... itself. It's exactly what everyone knew it was going to be. It's fine. Blocking.. has a 2 minute cooldown god why. Super Sonic or whatever it was is a scare, exactly what we knew it was going to be. My current thought at the moment is just that they're boring. They're not giving WX some kind of gameplay edge that makes them fun or anything, they're just there. In my current world I don't even know which circuits I'd actually even use. Probably the sonic emitter because it's the only one that feels like it has an actual potential use for me. The circuit nerfs were also pretty expected. Boowomp. I just wish Spin-cycle was an aoe ability that turned you into a weaker Weather pain with the downside of slippery controls and it makes you dizzy afterwards. The skill point upgrades for these circuits are even more lame, only stat changes. NotGabriel Posted April 3 Share Posted April 3 Spin Cycle sounds so funny on paper and hopefully it gets buffed, I like new unique mechanics but when they are immediately outclassed by other mechanics it really does amount to being a nothing burger. I mean come on the same update gives WX free access to his own tree choppers via music box circuit, why would you use the chopping feature at all? Maybe a cool buff would be it building up speed as you do more fighting or chopping, so if you line up a bunch of trees you could plow them down, and have a similar mechanic to the WARBIS on enemies where being in combat and dealing damage builds up the attack speed more and more in tiers. 2 minute cooldown on blocking? Seriously? Thats insultingly long. The Screech is.. fine? No unique buffs like the other circuits. yeah Either a speed increase on the spin-cycle or your idea seem pretty good, especially since the animation seems like it's, (excuse the pun) a bit choppy. I was holding out on critiquing the skill tree as a whole since I felt Gamma Circuits as base kit additions would've done SOMETHING for WX but no. I was WRONG. This genuinely SUCKS. I love this evil retaliatory fridge/radiator/speed demon a lot, but I'm sure it will be fine. The process for making this stuff is experimental and iterative, they need time to make sure everything works just as well as it's fun to play. We only got the one tree this time around for a good reason it seems. Beta circuits are currently where WX gets their strength, but even then, people probably are just gonna use it for speed/temperature like before since the other options got nerfed. The gamma circuits could make up for this if they weren't so niche or outclassed.
