There is a skill in the Skill Tree called Right To Modify, and its effect is: Gain the ability to unplug any circuit in the bar stack.

I don’t think this skill should be a unlockable skill in the Skill Tree. Instead, it should be a default innate ability for WX-78, just like how Walter can feed his mount (Woby or Beefalo) while riding it.

I hope the skill slot of Right To Modify can be replaced with a storage container for Circuits — this container can be either an Item or a Structure.

It could be an inventory Item (like Wigfrid’s Battle Call Canister) that fits in the inventory slots. Or it could be a Structure (like Wickerbottom’s Bookcase) that is only used to store Circuits and Bio Data.

Circuits placed inside this Structure should slowly regenerate durability, and the regeneration speed depends on the amount of Bio Data stored in the Structure.

I have another idea. Making “Right To Modify” a default ability for WX-78 might be too drastic. What if we merge it with “Fine Motor Control” instead?

“Fine Motor Control” currently allows circuits to lose half the usual durability when unplugged.

I suggest that unlocking this one skill would grant both effects:

the ability to unplug any circuit in the bar stack,

and that circuits lose half the usual amount of durability when unplugged.

I actually like it, but it should also let you place in circuits between other circuits too.

It sort of outclasses the durability skill in alot of ways.

I see what you mean but with the new WX chassis chambers, switching circuits is now much easier and the downsides of it are more fitting now.

I don't think Winona's Portability skill should be a skill at all but instead baseline. But here we are.

Complaining about it in every post isn’t going to magically change it. I know it frustrates you, but Please respect other people’s discussions

It is part of the discussion. I agree with OP in this regard and am displaying an empathetic connection to their post. Idk how I am being disrespectful here.

I like the "right to modify" perk being something to unlock. It's a really desired ability, and due to that desire, makes decision making for building out your skill tree.

In my head, i think i can skip it by being more prepared in how i construct my circuits, but other people who swap out more than i do would probably still invest in that skill.

I'd really like for the circuits to stay in their current place if this is going to be a skill. I could see myself taking it if I could remove a "protected" bottom circuit to replace with a different one such as removing a optoelectronic circuit to place a refrigerant. Both of those I want on the bottom, and if I have to remove everything to get them there anyway there is truly no point to the skill.

Maybe, with Right To Modify, you could hover the extractor over the circuit to enter "precise placement" mode, which opens the circuit menu and let's you choose where exactly to input the circuit(how it would work is, if you have enough free slots for the given circuit, you can chose where to put it in relation to other equipped circuit, so you could for example put a circuit between 2 other, or at the very bottom, and the other circuits move accordingly). Right clicking the circuit in inventory would put it at the top of the board as usual.

Alternatively, maybe circuit extractor could be used to move a selected inserted circuit above/below other circuits in the panel.(how would it be implemented? dunno, only idea is to have like, a button in the circuit menu UI when using it, that you could select and switch to "rearrangement mode")

See this would be fine if not better. Make removal of any circuit a default but make a skill for rearranging circuits already in or somehing along those lines. And I could actually see myself using a skill point on that because it means I can throw stuff in wherever and deal with it later which is quite convenient.

Wx got like some really crazy base upgrades specifically getting  3 x circuit boards.
could trade that for unlocking boards

Hes already so strong, i can't even begin to imagine how strong he will be once his gamma circuits drop.
