Sorry autocorrect, what I meant was do any of the decoration types not make the spiders neutral to other players

Everything except friendly sets. The entire branch opens up the possibility of stacking three sets on a single den. By the way, a few more thoughts on the editor. You can paint not only flags and stickers, but also building elements. Also, if there are skins for the den decoration set, you can change the skins of these parts and combine different skin sets.

As a fellow Webber fan, I want your opinion on my skill tree and what I should add

here’s what I got so far ( I’m planning to change the alinements, queen decorator, and rapid growth)What do you think I should name the third spider as part of the garden spiders skill, it ether has to be [inert word] spider or 1-3 word descriptor with the last word ending with er as the don’t starve spider naming principle goes,i’m thinking about possibly changing the second half of the in the spirit of friendship skill to be something spider queen related potentially planting spider eggs around spider queen to turn her into a spider egg similar to how you plant trees around tree guards to calm them down, but also I don’t think that has enough spice to be the second half of the skill also I’m thinking of giving spiders wearing hats for you since someone who commented on my post said that it’s basically useless to put a hat on a spider. I also might give spiders their own creature specific helmet like a spider equivalent to the swamp warrior helmet and possibly tooth caps to be a weapon equivalent also I’m thinking of his second part two either Den relocation or soak fastener that allows you to get back as many number of soak. It takes to upgrade a spider done per shaving:

Spoiler

skill tree:

(befriended nurse spider to unlock)
    •    Unbreakable friendship: Make decorated dens  not break when attacked and spiders in the  Bedazzled range only attack attackers and nurses spawn from tier 3+ decorating the den will no longer retract the ground webbing, when not befriended bedazzled spiders will stay within the range of the decorated den, decorated dens can defend themselves by stunning whoever is attacking them(I work similar to brightshade and we will play a larger version of the web animation that plays one a spider eat a switcherdoodle) while it regens hp too

    •    Oral obliging : cause spiders to “hammer” by hitting the structure you want to be hammered once in case of a miss click use webby whistle to cancel demolition, they eat yucuse snot now when you’re stuck, can rummage through hound mounds(blue and red gems)/burrows (stolen items as well as rock, Flint, nighter, and gold)/hollow stump (stolen items)/splumonkey pod (stolen items)/marotter den(stolen items)/tidy hidy holes(for collected dust) items gained by rummaging will temporarily be wet due to saliva you can trigger the spiders too start rummaging by blowing the whistle near the thing you want them to rummage through rummaging will be a timed interaction similar to picking a berry bush or going through a scrap pile

    •    Silk fashioner: razors can be used to mark sticky webbing for retraction,if you  place sticky webbing connected to the den and the den still has sticky webbing to use the den will “place” that instead of using your own sticky webbing, you can craft sticky webbing with 2 silk(sticky webbing outside of that I “placed” by the den would trigger spiders to come out)(only crafted sticky webbing drops when using the razor)

    •    Rapid Growth: Webber can upgrade dens with 4 silk instead of 5 silk

    •    Regeneration sensitization:increase stats from nurse spiders for Webber(15 hp)

    •    Nocturnally adept: partial night vision  (sense spiders walk around at night) only silhouettes  not enough to not be attacked by Charlie but enough to  see where your going, reduced sanity lose from dusk or night 60-80% during dawn and 40-60% during night.

    •    Deeper den sleeper:Stats for sleeping in dens to 2 sanity and 3 health for 1.5 hunger.

    •    No picky eater: Webber has the ability to eat horrible meats that pigs and spiders eat as well as unique stats for monster the various forms of monster meat

Bunny puff and slurper pelt: hunger:12.5

Pig skin: hunger: 62.5

Cooked monster meat: hunger: 25 health:3

monster lasagna: hunger: 37.5 health: 10 sanity:10(this also extends to monster tartare hunger: 62.5 health: 10 sanity:10)

 monster jerky: hunger: 37.5 health: 15 sanity:20

    •    Den Relocation: Tier 1 dens can be picked up by Webber and relocated (affects Decorated Dens + can remove and relocate the stickers)(pulled from @JJ0264)

    •    Unnatural brood: You are now able to craft the Travel den it’s a large backpack like item with 4 or 6 general slots, and a hidden 20 slot storage for spiders that can be opened like a polar bin. It also has the down side of slowing you down 10% Along side the general backpack slots there are 8 specialized slots with one containing healing glop for incredibly faster healing regeneration , one for storing spider food so they Don’t Starve, and 6 slots for reusing the baby spiders from the forge and they would act as distractions somewhat like the parasitic shading  but the victim wouldn’t be immune to damage you decide if,when, and how many you takeout at a time also depending on what beard skin you have on will determine what they look like  they would look like tiny versions of what spiders from a den that has a queen that looks like that beards respective Webber skin as well as the egg sack having the same color, you get a 12-20 second cool down until you can spawn the next one and they would do 9 damage(18 if you feed them electric milk),have 7 hp, upon death one will respawn every 90 seconds . You can also use your webby whistle to call them out for battle or to call them back in in emergencies or to quickly heal or to just travel with them. you can hide in it like a snurtle  shell and spawn web from overcoming arachnophobia allowing you to region like you do and a normal tier 3 den and when a mob walks on the web spiders come out and kill it and bring the meat back
(You need this to craft the 3 care crafts and after the first 4 uses you need to replace the den decorating set for five more uses each time you run out)
1 spider egg, 1 den decorating set,24 health

Concept examples:

(the spiders go down to the size of a baby spider and his smiling like a befriended one)

(like this except they smile like befriended spiders)

(Original idea and Art by @blacknight7890, I edited in the flag and some details to the idea )(the spider legs in the concept art now only apply when he’s in it)

    •    Carecrafts :  (unnatural brood required, use the itsy-bitsy den as a portable crafting station)

Friendship bracelets: 2 bone shard and one butterfly used in conjunction with the homemade to revive spiders you bind a spider to a friendship bracelet similar to a beefalo to a Beefalo Bell except you don’t give it a name the next time it dies it drops the friendship bracelet pain on how you wanna go with us at a lower durability, maybe have to be repairable with bone  and if you wanna automate a bit what if it works like  cursed trinkets except instead of being drawn to players it’s drawn to the nearest homemade den and if there’s an open slot, it takes it it can also be used by non-Webber players to make spiders neutral to them by keeping it in one of their inventory slots

(yellow highlighting isn’t part of the actual concept. It’s just meant to emphasize each leg sense it kind of felt like they blended in.)

Totem of friendship: (@Creatingabe1125’s idea) It would work if you have 2 or more spider, and what it would do is reduce damage against a hit based on how many spiders were hit and how many spiders there are. With more spiders meaning more pontential damage reduction against a hit and the more spiders hit the more that damage reduction is granted. However it only works when 2 or more spiders are hit 5-65% damage reduction, there would also be a damage buff The dmg buff would be simple with 0.5 extra dmg per spider upto a maximum of 10 extra dmg. The friendship totem would cost 1 living log, 8 silk, and 1 red gem, and would lose 2% durability per dead spider

homemade den: every time the den has a spider added it lose 1% durability, you can find out how much durability there is by inspecting, and you can repair it using silk but maybe by 2-5%. it has 12 spiders with the inventory of a scaled chest but for spiders only, it’ll take 90 seconds for each spider to respawn it (and how it will respawn a spider after the 90 seconds is the lightning conductor purple gem combination will cause lightning to strike around it the respawned to spider crawl out of the ground like rabbit king as a reference to how you unlock Webber in solo Don’t Starve)
You can only place it on sticky webbing, you could also call the spiders out of the den by interacting with it
And it can be broken using a hammer
(craft the homemade den with a purple gem, a lightning conductor, and 2 sticks )

    •    Silkcrafts:
Web net: eight silk, a certain number of scrap ,and one electric milk it’s like a less powerful shadow prison that does damage over the time depending on how big the creature is caught in it they will stay trapped for 5 to 10 minutes with a 30 second cooldown electric unnatural energy damages them overtime

Silk spindle:@blacknight7890 came up with an idea I re named it and changed its look but other then that it’s all there’s Learn to craft a 'Silk spindle', [like a giant spindle with spider hair and  a finial on it (with white string when silk is on it)] a structure that can be placed near decorated spider dens. Spiders will spin webs onto it over time, can be harvested for silk." [passive silk farming]

finial looks like this:

    •    Garden spider :farm like Webber does in the gorge and learn more from the gardeneer hat(same as Premier Gardeneer Hat)

(Icon borrowed from @BiddoBams’ Warly skill tree)
    •    Spider Goatherder: learn to milk volt goats with empty bottles, volt goats won’t be disturbed by Webber anymore and calm charged volt goats by feeding them any number of Wobsters, bananas, meat,Burch nuts, pomegranates, eggs, Asparagus, pumpkin seeds (doing this while not charged will make them follow you for a short period time to allow for easier relocation)

    •    Silk stitch: You can now repair things with silk like Winona’s trusty tape

    •    acidophilic arachnid: when in acid rain Webber gets:

Attack Damage    Physical DamageTaken    Move Speed
+5%    -2.5%    +1.5%

    •    Queen decorator: you can now decorate spider queen that will give her all the same effects of a decorated den(if you have unbreakable friendship, decorations won’t fall off when hit and will only attack attackers), when fighting nearby, spider queen will send over befriended nurse spiders to your aid

    •    Animalistic arachnid: Webber has the same all fours running ability as Wilbur and wonkey, when you fight bare handed you use your claws doing double the normal amount of damage

    •     In the spirit of friendship: When dying with Webber will drop 2 spider glands, Webber can now decorate seven dens with a den decorating set rather than five

    •    Garden spiders:
(create three new types of switcherdoodles with corresponding new spiders)(you need to successfully harvest and collect two of the corresponding crops to unlock each recipe)(when paired with silk fashioner, you can make farm plots permanently, wet by putting sticky webbing over farm plots if you use a water can on the plot either before or after placing the sticky webbing)
Squirter:  Green Huntsman Spiders have a green grassy pattern almost akin to a watermelon, and use this as camouflage to hide in the foliage and ambush prey that wanders by. In DST, maybe they could be commanded to stay in one spot with lots of plants. When you check in on them later, they may give you some morsels or meat, letting you have a share of whatever animals they were catching offscreen. Their switcherdoodle could be made from watermelons, like the pattern on their abdomen. Attacks by shooting water out its mouth that can also water crops
Switcherdoodle: 3 monster meat, 2 silk, 2 watermelon (20dmg, 200hp)

Hydrolysis spider: Black Widows are an infamously venomous spider, able to paralyze and even LIQUEFY their prey, which ranges from small insects all the way to larger animals like lizards and snakes. Coincidentally, the appearance of their eggs is often compared to garlic cloves! In DST, this paralyzation could be implemented in many ways, the easiest being putting mobs to sleep for a few seconds, allowing the other spiders a chance to heal and get in a bunch of damage before they wake back up, with a heavy cooldown following that so they can't just put a mob to sleep over and over. Their switcherdoodle could be made from garlic, like how their eggs look. It can fertilize crops with the liquid remains
Switcherdoodle: 2 monster meat, 3 silk, 2 garlic (20dmg, 400hp)

: Orb Weavers are commonly found on garden plants, and build large circular webs to catch pests. In DST, maybe they could make webs in your gardens to trap the Lord of the Fruit Flies, or even Brightshades? Their switcherdoodle could be made from basically any farm plant, but I'd go with tomatoes to give those a good use as Webber, since they can't be eaten by spiders for healing like veggie-eating followers do. catch all types of bugs in orbs of web and can till (like merms can with a shoddy tool)
Switcherdoodle: 2 monster meat, 3 silk, 2 tomatoes(20dmg, 200hp)

    •    social hunting:  befriended/bedazzled spiders will no longer check items to see if they can eat them so now they won’t eat anything unless you feed them

    •      Glop mastery: healing glop animation takes half as long as well as healing over time for twice the healing in total for both Webber and spiders (Webber:8hp+1hp per sec for 8 sec=16hp in total spiders: 80hp+10hp per sec for 8 sec= 160hp in total)

    •      Switcherdoodle stretching: efficiently use ingredients to make 3 times that amount of switcherdoodles when crafted (@Creatingabe1125’s idea)

    •    Good reputation: when befriending spiders in groups amount of spiders befriended in one feeding increases to 4-6

 Alignments:

Lunar spider care I:
The cryptic founder has rewarded your curiosity by giving you the power to reveal a shattered spider’s greater potential. You can also gift your friends some temporary lunar power.
You can now give a shattered spider 2 moon glass to change them into the enlightened spider. They can bite for 20 dmg but can do a psychic attack for 30 dmg if undisturbed for 3 seconds once started and takes another 4 seconds to begin attacking again. Other enlightened spiders can join this attack to deal a stronger hit. When in a group attack, the spiders stay in the psychic state and physically attack every 3 seconds. And if 3 or more spiders join the attack, it will be an aoe attack, with more enlightened spiders increasing the range and damage of it.
You can also craft shattered web-balls with 4 moon glass and 4 silk, which will provide a 10% defense against lunary foes and 5% dmg against shadowy foes to all befriended spiders. The effect lasts for 2 minutes and has a cooldown of 4, but they’re stackable and are 1 use.
You can infuse pure brilliance into the web ball, replacing 5 dmg with 5 planar dmg for all befriended enlightened spiders.
Some other ideas are that you can craft the shattered switcherdoodle with 2 moonrock like how you can use “pig skin?” from hamlet in pig skin recipes and you’d have the recipe unlocked from the start. And befriending an enlightened spider will unlock an enlightened switcher doodle for 1 monster meat, 3 silk, and 3 moon glass.

Lunar spider care II:

With a better feel of the moon’s power, wielding any lunar equipment will provide some sense of comfort by reducing the insanity of the world. The cryptic founder has also brightened your creative spirit and you now have the idea for a great battle caller.
When wielding 1 lunar equipment, all negative sanity auras around you and the night are reduced by 10%, 2 lunar equipment makes that 22.5%, and 3 lunar equipment makes that 33%.
You can now craft a new item at the brightsmithy called Webber’s brightle caller for 6 brightshade husks, 4 pure brilliance, 8 silk, and maybe or maybe not a beefalo horn.
The following effects last 1 minute: All spiders, including Webber and spider queens, move 20% faster, while all foes are slowed down by 33%. All non befriended nearby spider and spider queens will target what you target.
It has no durability with a 1 day cooldown, similar to the mudslingers. When used, Webber will play an animation with it, along with 3 quotes/lines that make up a compelling speech, but it sounds more soothing to non spiders, similar to a pan flute.
He can also recruit up to 2 spider queens with the spider queen instantly turning into a nest upon recruitment.
The following effects last 2 minutes: If you’ve recruited spider queens before use, 1 or 2 spider queens depending on how many you recruited, will rise from the ground as shattered queens, and has the same stats as normal spider queens, except they obey your most recent command, can summon shattered spiders, and deals 40 dmg along with 20 planar dmg. Enlightened spiders will gain 5 additional planar dmg.

shadow spider care I:

The shadow queen has rewarded your loyalty by granting you the darkest and most cunning of spiders. You can also gift your friends some temporary power of the shadows.
Learn to craft the shadow switcherdoodle which costs 2 monster meat, 3 silk, & 2 nightmare fuel. The shadow spider can double leap or leap mid air after leaping if the target moves. It can also teleport like normal shadows or a 20% chance after landing a hit with a leap. It’s bite is 20 but it’s damage increases by 5 per leap in a leap attack.
You can also craft shadow web-balls that cost 4 nightmare fuel and 4 silk. They provide 10% defense against shadowy foes and 5% dmg against lunary foes to all befriended spiders. The effect lasts for 2 minutes and has a cooldown of 4, but they are stackable and are 1 use.
you can infuse it with pure horror, which replaces 5 dmg with 5 planar dmg for all befriended shadow spiders.
An idea was to unlock the recipe, you’d need to find a spider with a shadow aura while insane, and that spider has a 5% chance to spawn if you haven’t unlocked the switcherdoodle. And if you befriend it, it’ll drop 1 nightmare fuel and give the switcherdoodle recipe.

shadow spider care II:

As you have gotten to understand the shadows, all shadowy equipment will be less demanding on the mind, and all shadowy creatures will seem a bit less threatening. The shadow queen has also nourished your passionate soul, and now have the idea for a soul strengthening cheer.
All shadow equipment will drain or consume 50% less sanity, & shadow creatures or shadow alligned creatures will drain 33% less sanity.
Learn to craft Flags of Rallies at the shadow plinth kit for 5 dark tatters, 4 pure horror, and 6 silk.
It works similarly to the mudslinger, and has a cooldown of 8 minutes.
It’s effects are that for 2 minutes all befriended spiders will gain buffs similar to acid rain, every befriended spider will receive 2-4 waves of +50 health with each wave every 5 seconds (they will all get the same amount of waves and the amount is random), and 5 shadow spiders charged with pure horror will be summoned and stay until they die, when Webber leaves the server, or when Webber uses the Flags of Rallies again to summon 5 new spiders.
The shadow spiders will slowly lose health when not in combat and always have 10 planar dmg on top of their usual dmg. They are not affected by buffs and totems nor do they go to travel dens, though can still be healed by nurses and by Webber.

Organization of skill tree:
A starter is that most of the skill tree would be in a heart shaped background with the friendship side being top left, web action being on the top right, and inner arachnid being at the bottom of the heart.
Inner arachnid:
It’s first skill would be the sleeping den buff, and then it would have 4 skills connected to it.
Below it would be the 2 healing skills. To the top left of the first skill would be no picky eater which then leads to the acid rain perk below it. To the bottom right of the first skill would be the night vision one, which then leads to the monkey like speed bonus skill.
Friendship:
It would start with the shoe box skill, then lead to the more spiders per meat skill which leads to the more switcher doodles on the top right and on the main branch to queen decorator, unbreakable friendship with a spider queen requirement next, and then to the unnatural brood and then to the carecrafts.
Web Action:
It would start with the less silk per upgrade skill, then have a side branch for social hunting which then leads to the work skill. Continuing on the main branch would be the silk fashionire, den relocater skill after, silk stitch after that, and finally the silk crafts.
Garden skills:
The garden spiders would be below the friendship branch, either connecting to the branch or require a set amount of skill and another requirement to access.
The other 2 farming skills would be below the Web action section and would work similar to the garden spiders skill.
The affinities would be at the sides or top corners outside the heart. Feel free to change it however you want, this is just a starter idea for the skill tree

You can only place it on sticky webbing, you could also call the spiders out of the den by interacting with it
And it can be broken using a hammer
(craft the homemade den with a purple gem, a lightning conductor, and 2 sticks )

I'll take a look sometime. Unfortunately, right now, my thoughts on the skill tree are exclusively focused on my version, and I'm also daunted by the sheer number of posts that have accumulated over almost two years. By the way, should I evaluate what was written in the original post, or should I read everything, or just the latest thoughts on skills? If anything, I'm ready to read briefly what's important for the context about the things you want to hear an opinion about. And another similar question, how do you evaluate these concepts?

I was just expecting the stuff in the comment you’re responding to, but since you asked here’s some additional context

I am satisfied with den relocation, silk stitch, and good reputation but I’m willing to change them if a better skill comes along or if it is deemed that certain other skills are too cluttered and certain abilities, need to be distributed to their own skills

i’m changing queen decorator to a skill called supercolony(I’m not sure weather or not to have the skill and the section be named the same thing) basically you have a new type of decorating set that you can used to tie decorated silk fabric between between decorated dens as if they were lamp post this also straightens their flags you can put homemade dens and farm tiles in the area to create a farm colony type village to become the Lord of the spiders or spider Lord which is the spider equivalent to the benevolent rabbit king and all the other faction leaders and if I’m understanding @Creatingabe1125 suggestion to the idea, right you could also upgrade a tier 3 den to make a cardboard-like castle that really fits being a creative kid which is Webber’s decoration style also spiders have different roles this village like some more farmers and some are knights/soldiers/Castle guard/Village guard (which now that you came out with the new decoration ideas, I want to incorporate your ideas into this skill) it’s similar to the newer content in pearls questline,we might need to  redistribute  certain abilities into all their skills for example on planning to potentially re-distribute certain abilities to a new skill that will take the place of rapid growth and if I don’t redistribute abilities from this or other skills i’ll probably make this guy‘s ideas that skill with a few tweaks, including not introducing  elder variance of the spiders and just learning it from their regular versionswhen you befriend them:

I think me and @Creatingabe1125are getting pretty close too figuring out the replacement alignments but if you have any ideas, I’m all ears, or you could check the last few pages on my post if you want to participate in the discussion

If I understood the idea correctly (a new set of decorations that links dens together and creates a working or patrol area for spiders within these links), it's incredibly cool. Initially, I wanted to add unlocks for two new sets to each skill in the decoration tree, but I only had enough imagination for four of them.

I've been thinking about den levels beyond the third for a long time, but couldn't come up with anything better than buffs for the spider queen emerging from such a den and the ability to spawn a new spider from it, ignoring negative buffs and removing them from others. Having recently returned to thinking about Webber's tree fully, I want to use that spider's legacy to some extent for the unspecified moon/shadow side spiders.

In general, I would like to join the discussion, but I'm afraid that I don't know the characters' words well enough, relying in my reasoning on the details of the gameplay, the lore of the game that I abandoned in 2021-2022, the late game, which I began to approach in the second half of last year, but then sat down to draw sprites and what I myself saw in the game and do what I think is interesting or solves Webber's problems, while trying to look at all this the way Klei looks at it. For example, Spider Tool is a way to solve the problem of lags caused by a huge number of spiders. Bag Cap is aimed at making the mechanics of wearing hats more useful for spiders and switcherdoodles, including with other skills. Besides, I still have one more tool to draw, and the sprite drawing phase is coming to an end, and I'm almost 100% sure I won't return to it due to irl circumstances. Despite this, I might post micro-ideas either here or in your post.

You and me are speaking two completely different languages, but can understand each other through translation I’d imagine the same would apply to joining the discussion on my post

I haven’t played the game in a while either

In my skill tree, how I counteracted spider lag is for the number of spiders I added the homemade den and world idea for the travel den although I made some alterations, combining it with the itsy bitsy nest to create the current travel den along with adding the below hide inside it and spawn overcoming arachnophobia webbing around it when doing so along with the spiders inside hunting anything that steps on it

And for the main reason  spiders cause lag being being the fact that they’re constantly scanning for items on the ground and whether or not they can eat it. I solved with the social hunting skill

Are the bag caps just extra storage for Weber through the spires that wear them or do they have the ability to gather materials to put in to them?

In principle, fighting the root cause of lags is a good method and has an equal right to exist with what I proposed.

Hey everyone. I've finished drawing everything I wanted. In this and the next post, I'll be writing about two skill branches instead of one per post. This post will be dedicated to the lunar and shadow skill branches. [

[SHADOW AFFINITY]

[Skill 1] To unlock it, you must not have Lunar Affinity and defeat Ancient Fuelweaver.

1.png.667df093fc546f52343f049151908e52.png

Unlocks the ability to create Switcherdoodles with Nightmare Fuel Jam/Pure Horror Jam and tame Shadow Spiders/Post Fuelweaver Spiders.

[PERHAPS] Adds 1 small immortal shadow spider from the start, which will run after Webber for life and protect him from enemies.

[Switcherdoodles with Jam]

To obtain it, take Nightmare Fuel/Pure Horror and right-click on a Switcherdoodle, or vice versa. This will consume 1 Switcherdoodle and 1 of the selected material, adding 1 Switcherdoodle with the corresponding jam. Giving it to spiders will turn them into a shadow/post fuelweaver spider. To get a nightmare version of a regular spider, you need to feed it Nightmare Fuel/Pure Horror.

[SHADOW SPIDERS CONCEPT: Shadow Spiders]

All shadow spiders are immune to fire and fear, when untamed they attack untamed moon/post champion spiders and queens, have protection from lunar/shadow creatures, deal increased damage to moon creatures, including moon spiders/post champion spiders and queens, and their satiety period in the inventory is twice as long as that of normal ones.

When moving, it burrows underground, blending into the darkness of avalanches and walking on the underside of the water's surface, becoming invulnerable and increasing its movement speed. When attacking, it leaps upward, creating waves if on water, and fights normally. A few seconds after the battle ends, it dives back down.

[Skill 2]

2.png.13d904289c1d5796ff731acba847b3a7.png

Unlocks the ability to perform shadow/post fuelweaver mutations using Nightmare Fuel/Pure Horror on Spider Queens.

[PERHAPS] Adds a second small immortal shadow spider from the start, which will run after Webber for life and protect him from enemies.

Similar to the second Spider Queen perk mutations, they need to be given Nightmare Fuel/Pure Horror several times a day for several days. If a Spider Queen has already been mutated with Switcherdoodles, she will evolve into a Shadow/Post Fuelweaver of her species. The same will happen if you give a regular Spider Queen Switcherdoodles with Jam while having the aforementioned skill.

[SHADOW SPIDERS CONCEPT: Shadow Queens]

Have the same abilities and behavior as shadow spiders. They will either spawn regular shadow spiders, shadow spiders of their own species, or regular spiders of their own species.

When rolling, it leaves behind a trail of shadow spiders that deal damage equal to its.

[Shadow Dangler Queen]

183207693_.png.edbb79beb8a5c0f787124c2b3f8493d4.png

When rolling, it leaves behind a trail of shadow spiders that deal damage equal to its.

[Shadow Cave Queen]

987584293_.png.197adf283bf3773791da866f8c90af42.png

In addition to the Shadow Cave Spider's shell attack bonuses, it increases the spider spawn rate and maximum number of spiders.

[Shadow Spitter Queen]

564800372_.png.18b72ba5ea2596263067fa8ea122c22e.png

Spits a huge ball of shadow web at enemies. On impact, it envelops everyone in a small radius. If it misses, the web settles and explodes upon landing, dealing damage and enveloping them, and also shoots out fragments in all directions, dealing less damage and stunning for a shorter duration.

[Shadow Shattered Queen]

1577665062_.png.66570b79828ad157447888bd28310c24.png

The effect of Shattered Queen, but with 7 spikes and [PERHAPS] they create them around the enemy.

[Shadow Nurse Queen]

2040053708_.png.8cfa4be6005c6600d83abdb95b2cf5f0.png

Every 16 seconds, instead of attacking, it plops down on the ground, creating a massive healing zone in the form of a web for 8 seconds. The healing zone heals normal, moon, and post champion spiders for 175, shadow spiders for 200, and post fuelweaver spiders for 225, regular Webber and Webber with Lunar Affinity by 10 and heals 2 more for each Shadow Affinity skill taken every 2 seconds  (heals 4 times). When healing, removes Burn and Fear from spiders. If he removes Burn from 5-8 spiders or Fear from 5-8 spiders, the next healing will either Burn or Fear the all enemies in the healing area.

[Shadow Strider Queen]

1897955664_.png.dfd4ced44270f88c208c02f6a4c99429.png

She not only moves through water, but also creates a shadow threads beneath herself.

Have the same abilities and behavior as post fuelweaver spiders. They will either spawn regular post fuelweaver spiders, post fuelweaver spiders of their own species, or regular spiders of their own species.

Upon stopping, it pierces the ground with its claws and summons 8 Nightmare Spiders in a circle around nearby targets, dealing 20 normal and 20 planar damage. Instead of 8 Nightmare Spiders, it summons 16 on the marked target. After finishing the attack, it screams, applying effects based on the number of successful hits: a fear effect lasting up to 30 seconds and also draining Sanity from players.

In addition to the Post Fuelweaver Cave Spider's shell attack bonuses, it summons up to 10 clenched legs on her shell, which, when approached, attempt to attack the player for 20 normal and 30 planar damage. When attacking, the leg becomes stuck in the ground for a short time, and the next leg follows to help.

22264924_.png.2c1c9b30fdb044daef79eb38a7c1f14d.png

Spits a web of pure horror at the enemy. The target is stuck in it for a long time and cannot be removed by attacks. During this time, they suffer 10 normal and 10 planar damage and a powerful acid rain effect.

1092158083_.png.7699b489d5d10090f83dd63c7dd60fec.png

Collapses a huge area of ground beneath an enemy, slowing those passing through the cracks and causing a massive, nightmarish fountain to erupt from them, piercing targets on the ground and in the air. Deals 6 hits (20 normal and 10 planar strikes per second) for 8 seconds. The cracks regenerate over time.

1169146152_.png.d11d5e63239da4cc66565b4692f5678f.png

Every 16 seconds, instead of attacking, it plops down on the ground, healing normal, moon, and post-champion spiders for 200, shadow spiders for 250, and post-fuelweaver spiders for 300, also heals regular Webber and Webber with Lunar Affinity by 15 and heals 3 more for each Shadow Affinity skill taken and creates a Nightmare Web core for 8 seconds. The core has 200 health and maintains a zone in which all spiders, including the queen, are completely immune to all damage and attacks. Webbers within the Nightmare Web zone gain immunity to stunlocks and knockbacks and 35% planar defense.

She has two movement modes: normal and burrowed. While burrowed, she moves like a post-fuelweaver sea strider. If she moves normally for more than 5 seconds, she can use a special attack—teleporting to any point within the screen radius and damaging everyone on it.

[Skill 3]

Allows the creation of Shadow and Post Fuelweaver Dens. Crafting and upgrading also require Nightmare Fuel/Pure Horror. Dens have 375/750/1500 and 500/1000/2000 HP respectively, as well as planar and fire protection for both and frost protection for the Post Fuelweaver.

[PERHAPS] Adds a third small immortal shadow spider from the start, which will run after Webber for life and protect him from enemies.

If you have the Spider Queen skill tree, crafting and upgrade materials are also used to create it. [PERHAPS] You can hold off on the Nightmare Fuel/Pure Horror, but instead of a Shadow/Post Fuelweaver Spider Queen, you'll get a regular one.

If you have the third skill of the weaving branch and shadow affinity spiders, you cannot wrap them in regular eggs, but you can wrap them in these eggs at any time.

[PERHAPS] You cannot use Shadow Affinity Spiders in a Spider Tool upgraded with regular Spider Eggs. You will need Shadow Affinity Spider Eggs for that.

Regular spiders will spawn in shadow/post fuelweaver dens, but at a significantly faster rate. Post fuelweaver spiders cannot be placed in shadow dens, but shadow spiders can be placed in post fuelweaver dens and will also have a smaller respawn speed bonus.

[PERPAPS] Decoration effects will be stronger for Webber and other survivors if they have leveled up their Shadow Affinity. The more elite the den and the more active skills, the stronger the bonus buff.

[Skill 1] To unlock it, you must not have Shadow Affinity and defeat Celestial Champion.

1.png.2a06810fec4ef0cb1af734674cf03a18.png

Unlocks the ability to create Switcherdoodles with Moon Shard Sprinkles/Pure Brilliance Sprinkles and tame Moon Spiders/Post Champion Spiders.

[PERHAPS] Adds 1 small immortal gestalt spider from the start, which will run after Webber for life and protect him from enemies.

[Switcherdoodle with sprinkles]

To obtain it, take Moon Shard/Pure Brilliance and right-click on a Switcherdoodle, or vice versa. This will consume 1 Switcherdoodle and 1 of the selected material, adding 1 Switcherdoodle with the corresponding sprinkles. Giving it to spiders will turn them into a moon/post champion spider. To get a lunar version of a regular spider, you need to feed it Moon Shard/Pure Brilliance.

[MOON SPIDERS CONCEPT: Moon Spiders]

All moon spiders are immune to freezing/sleep, when untamed they attack untamed shadow/post fuelweaver spiders and queens, have protection from lunar/shadow creatures, deal increased damage to shadow creatures, including shadow spiders/post fuelweaver spiders and queens, and their satiety period in the inventory is twice as long as that of normal ones.

It has a passive 25% damage protection. When hiding, it surrounds itself with shield paws, giving it a total of 92.5% protection. When attacked, its shell extends, reflecting projectiles and sometimes the player's weapon. When a weapon is dropped, the weapon's damage is added to the spikes and the shield paw strike. Armor on the player reduces the chance of weapons being dropped (1% armor = -2% chance of a weapon being knocked out of hands).

[Skill 2]

2.png.cd5d00fcb0d74d66c43bd8f2c456667f.png

Unlocks the ability to perform moon/post champion mutations using Moon Shard/Pure Brilliance on Spider Queens.

[PERHAPS] Adds a second small immortal gestalt spider from the start, which will run after Webber for life and protect him from enemies.

Similar to the second Spider Queen perk mutations, they need to be given Moon Shardl/Pure Brilliance several times a day for several days. If a Spider Queen has already been mutated with Switcherdoodles, she will evolve into a Moon/Post Champion of her species. The same will happen if you give a regular Spider Queen Switcherdoodles with Sprinkles while having the aforementioned skill.

[SHADOW SPIDERS CONCEPT: Shadow Queens]

Have the same abilities and behavior as moon spiders. They will either spawn regular moon spiders, moon spiders of their own species, or regular spiders of their own species.

Near the end of the pull, she covers her body with the shards of her paws and suddenly unfurls them into enormous glass wings, emitting a wealth of light and repelling everything she pulled in, as well as the sea waves.

[Skill 3]

Allows the creation of Moon and Post Champion Dens. Crafting and upgrading also require Moon Shard/Pure Brilliance. Dens have 375/750/1500 and 500/1000/2000 HP respectively, as well as planar and freeze protection for both and frost protection for the Post Champion.

Strider: Deals bonus Q damage to the target, removes Q sanity, and inflicts fear on the target for Q-5 seconds.

[OTHER]

While I was writing this, I noticed that the Royal Bag Cap has 12 slots, while all buffs are designed for 9 slots. So, the Royal Bag Cap only allows you to use 9 bonuses, and at least three slots will be open.

Formula explanation: First, an affinity branch is chosen 50/50 and a projectile is selected from it. The branch is checked first, starting with the major modifier. If its Q% doesn't trigger, the regular one is checked. If the Q% still doesn't trigger, the second branch is checked in the same way. Upon another hit, the regular projectile is either fired or not fired. (Other modifiers with a chance to trigger work concurrently.)

Phew, that was monstrously long. I really hope I didn't forget anything. Those were the two biggest skill trees, touching on everything else at once. Tomorrow I'll cover the remaining two trees, and I'll think about how to edit this post to include everything related to the tree. I hope you're doing well, and I'm off to bed. Good night!

Hello again everyone! Today I'll be writing about two undrawn skill tree branches. This will be much quicker than yesterday's Let's Go!

1.png.083309fd1d216240ae8fcfa8699c0067.png

Speeds up any shaving (shaving the beard, den, spider queen, etc.) by 25%. Adds a bonus to beard growth speed based on your satiety level. The more satiety you have, the faster your beard grows.

[Skill 2]

2.png.de50ba8e587c450ea2ac8a9fd44c1a6c.png

Webber gains sanity every time he shaves, and shaving his beard increases his sanity. He also gains more web from shaving.

[Skill 3] (Requires Lunar or Shadow Affinity).

3.png.8fe5671f5942ba03fc671b272e38fa26.png

In addition to cobwebs, there's a chance to drop materials from dens, spider queens, and beards with the player's affinity level when shaving. With the first affinity skill, the chance is small, and the material drop rate is low: [For example: a beard will drop up to 1/2/3 Nightmare Fuel/Moon Shard]. With the second affinity skill, the chance also increases, as does the maximum amount of resources dropped: [For example: a beard will drop up to 1/3/5 Nightmare Fuel/Moon Shard]. With the third skill, there's a small chance when shaving a post-champion/post-fuelweaver den, spider queen, or beard that the dropped Moon Shard/Nightmare Fuel will be replaced with Pure Brilliance/Pure Horror.

Well, I've finished telling you about my Webber skill tree. I enjoyed this path, but to finish it completely, I'll edit the original post and add everything I wrote in these posts. I really hope the Webber tree will be similar, or at least more fun and powerful. I enjoyed making this tree. And with that, I bid you farewell, but I don't think it's forever. All the best, everyone.

I had a little idea. You could add switchdoodles to a Crock Pot with something else and make an experimental switchdoodle that might or might not turn a spider into a random one. And if you add a shadow/moon item to the recipe, you have a chance of getting a moon/post champion/post fuelweaver/shadow spider.

Add a third step from Luxury Webby Whistle to the Spider Tool.

  • None: Simply selects the attack mode (Example: the spitters don't attack, but switch to automatic fire mode).
  • At one place: Immediately deploy all spiders at one point. (Example: If the Spider Tool has 6 spitters, they will fire a simultaneous volley at the selected area.)
  • Cursor: Normal mode, but instead of auto-attacking, allows manual aiming with the cursor (Example: the spitters fire a automatic fire mode in the direction of the cursor)

I like the idea of all the spiders getting shadow and lunar form but honestly, I think it’s a bit too much to ask of klei also I kind of thought that lunar affinity version of  shattered  spiders would be a more perfected mutation which I guess the post champion version sorted does but still

I completely agree. On the other hand, I saw a post somewhere that klei wants to make more extensive skill trees for future characters. Maybe they'll do that for all the affinity spiders. Well, yes, the Lunar Affinity Shattered Spider is more evolved. On Post Champion, it goes from ugly to symmetrical and can strike enemies with a celestial attack using meteorites.

Is the non post champion version also on its way to being more evolved and I just didn’t notice certain aspects of its design or is it just the post champion versions

Personally, I think the shadow affinity version of shattered spiders are spiders whose lunar powers have been driven out by nightmares, which they now use to sustain life. Sometimes I have fleeting thoughts of moon shattered spiders summoning moonglasses from the earth, oozing gestalt power, while shadow sattered spiders summon bones dripping with nightmares. Post fuelweavers are like the shadow version, except that pure nightmare energy begins to form webs within the shattered spiders. And they don't just pull out bones; they actually break the earth, creating nightmare cracks in the ground with a rising stream of nightmare energy. But these are just my floating ideas, and not my clear position on the nature of the Shattered Spiders.

As you may have noticed, all the Moon Spiders have been transformed into Moonglass Spiders. When I drew the Moon and Shadow Spiders, I based them on Webber's Triumphant and Moonbound skins. If you mean he's affected by the moon like everyone else, then yes. He, like other spiders, undergoes a metamorphosis from the glass, gaining some of the moon's "unawakened" power. If you mean he's evolutionarily approaching the pinnacle of evolution (Post Champion), then no. I made the normal and post-affinity spider types similar, evolving to some extent, but distinct in places. By the way, what do you think of my latest ideas with the affinity, beard, and switcherdoodle branches, or the skill tree in general?

P.S. I was wondering what principles you're using when creating Webber's skill tree. Do you have any specific ideas you'd like to incorporate into the skill tree, and if so, what are they?

I know both the triumphant and Moonbound skins have spikes at the end of the leg so I sort of understand why you put spikes at the end of the lunar affinity spiders but spikes on the end of the leg seems more like a queen spider type thing and you could’ve put spikes on the side of the legs instead especially since you didn’t put spikes on the end of the shadow affinity spiders legs

I actually have a similar skill to the switcherdoodle skills you have called switcherdoodle stretching

I like the idea of potentially getting more silk and getting sanity from shaving other than that, I don’t really like the beard skills

I also feel like the sprinkles and jam as well as the way of getting them is stepping a little bit too much on Warly‘s toes

I don’t quite know what you mean by principles, but certain things I want to incorporate into my skill tree is going more in depth into his connection with unnatural energy and the fact that he’s a monster/spider as well as exploring his human half also I want to make him the leader of spiders as a faction I also want to fix a lot of problems with the Weber gameplay and make the affinities super cool.

I understand your position perfectly. I'll try to explain mine.

When I was drawing these spiders, I had most of the ideas for their abilities in mind. I was afraid to add spines to their sides because of the cave spider, which is the only moon spider with spines all over its body. And the Shadow Affinity spiders, in my mind, seemed stronger not because of their spines, but because of the nightmarish powers coursing within them.

What is my Switcherdoodle skill by number?

It's ironic that you only liked the skill that I personally find the most mediocre of all of them. I made this branch so that it would develop not just beard shaving, but shaving in general. Shaving faster is convenient, and the mechanic of growing a beard faster due to being full is an interesting attempt to awaken the web-spinning instinct of the spider half when well-fed. And the beard affinity skill makes it worth maxing out the affinity branches and makes Webber more approachable in a team. A little about myself: among my friends, I call the "Beard Skill Tree" a generalized, useless, and boring Webber skill tree that might be released in the future. So, if I do make a beard tree, it shouldn't be the main one, or at least a useful one. Make it a spider storage? Unlikely, I have a third skill in the dens weaving tree with spider packaging. Switchdoodle storage? I already have a second skill. Food storage is secondary; Wilson had it.

It does seem more Warly-like, but the original idea of making Switcherdoodles seems to be more Warly's than Webber's. And the grinder (Switcherdoodles' 3rd skill) is a) symmetry for the beard branch (though I came up with the grinder first) and b) a way to save resources. You can get jam and sprinkles without the grinder, but then you'll have to grind more resources, which neither Webber nor his team wants.

By principles, I mean your motivation for doing this, the thoughts that drive you and that you want to advance in the tree. Well, if you've explained what you want to see in the tree, I'll answer that too. I envision a web-like skill tree, with human and spider sides, from which their related items flow, as well as neutral lunar and shadow affinities. I have 30 skills in the skill tree—if I spend all 15 skill points, I'll level up exactly half of them. This will allow me to make either a full Spider Webber + affinity, a full Human Webber + affinity, or a mix with or without affinity. I want to make his reworked items less useless: Shuu Box, Decoration Sets, etc. I believe Webber's skill tree should make him not only a strong and irreplaceable character, but also fun, interesting, and challenging. Because I believe the game is deteriorating because the fandom only takes the easy paths. I want to see Webber at the top of the character ladder, and the tree is a great chance to do that. But it shouldn't make the game boring, and it should transform what is objectively the most diverse character into an absolute icon of the new DST gameplay.

Ya there are definite better things to distribute skills to then the beard

the only one I am against is the one where his beard starts producing planar materials maybe knowing your thoughts process would change my mind

I think the thought process was he’s a kid, kids like cookies also he doesn’t make them the same way Warly makes food so what if he crafted the planar variants  using the  originals the planar material and possibly silk or monster meat

The design and in-game description for the Triumphant and (especially) Moonbound Silk Beard seem to use planar materials (as I understand your terminology, planar materials are not only regular affinity materials (Moon Shard, Nightmare Fuel), but also "post" materials (I call Pure Horror and Pure Brilliance "post" materials)). Look at the screenshots, compare regular dens from my concepts (for example, jewelry) and my concepts for dens with affinity skills.

It says right here "The moonglass threads"

image.jpeg.55252aacef04f2e119ec1afbf5ef2d3c.jpeg

I'd like to make it so there's no point in switching sides. So, for example, you can't just make lunar dens, put spiders in them, and now you'll always have lunar spiders, and then switch to shadow affinity and make shadow dens with spiders, and then your choice won't matter. I want to leave the option of having spiders with different affinities, but for maximum benefit, you'd take all three skills from the side whose spiders you want to benefit from. I tried to do this through bonuses from spiders, from switchdoodles in Bag Cap, and also through the ability to have a small, but chance to create a planar mini squad from the start, in order to solve the problem of Webber’s serious vulnerability in the first days.

I think the thought process was he’s a kid, kids like cookies also he doesn’t make them the same way Warly makes food so what if he crafted the planar variants  using the  originals the planar material and possibly silk or monster meat

Look how I came up with this. At first, I wondered: "Why does it take two moon shards to mutate a spider—a creature the size of a human head—shattered? That's enough planar material to mutate two entire merms—enormous beasts whose young (Wurt) can carry as much weight as a physically strong adult man (Wolfgang) and, if there's a merm king in the world, surpass him in health!"

Then I abandoned the idea of making one spider cost one planar material—disproportionately so compared to other skill trees. Yes, that's logical and maybe even balanced, but it wasn't for me. I wanted to add the option to get multiple planar spiders from one planar material.

I decided to move it to the most logical branch—the Switcherdoodle branch, whose goal is to make Switcherdoodles accessible.

I also decided not to consider the ability that adds 5 planar switchdoodles to the craft when you have 5 switcher doodles and 1 planar material - it seemed inconvenient when you have or need to make less than 5 and not multiples of 5 planar switchdoodles. I immediately decided to add the ability for Webber to craft an item with 0% durability to convert 1 piece of planar material into 100% durability of this converter (It works similarly to the Codex Umbra).

Then I came up with the idea of creating a plate in which you can put planar material, with a spiked lid that grinds this planar material and a handle on the lid in the shape of a spider, where its eyes are - holes through which the crushed material will pass.

The idea behind the Switcherdoodle branch is that Webber learns to handle ingredients carefully and make Switcherdoodles without wasting too many ingredients. And in the third skill, he invents a utensil that helps him work with planar resources that are difficult for his paws and hands to handle. When I came up with the Grinder, I realized that Planar Switcherdoodles are regular Switcherdoodles topped with jam (Shadow, because shadow materials look more like a mixture of jelly and juice from black and red berries) and sprinkles (Lunar, because lunar materials look like something that crumbles easily into small pieces).

Overall, this is how I envision a way to make planar resource usage for Switchdoodles more efficient. You may disagree, especially if your ideas about affinity skills don't align with mine, where you can mutate all spiders, the Spider Queen, and her Switchdoodled sisters, with two levels in both branches.

Wurt’s triumphant, and Moonbound skins aren’t that of mutated merms or shadow merms so Beard wise I still think it doesn’t make sense

In that case, I don't see what interesting thing that could be added to the beard related to affinity, but without the functions performed by other skills and items from them. And I'm also a bit confused about what Wurt has to do with it.
