Krom
This is necessary for the equally challenging fight with the Ancient Fuelweaver, after obtaining this staff. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169539-it-is-proposed-to-remove-the-brightshade-staff-ability-to-attack-shadow-creatures-which-are-only-visible-to-those-with-low-sanity/ Share on other sites
Bumber64
Isn't that the entire benefit of doing the lunar quest line first? To have better equipment for fighting the remaining side? If you don't have the staff, then you use weather pains. If the BS staff can't target sanity mobs, then there's no good reason WPs can either. WP. The fight is being oversimplified. Defeating the Celestial Champion is already more benefit. I'm not a big fan of the Shadow Side's weakness in the endgame. А как насчет того, чтобы ты сам сделал мод, который это делает, и повеселился с ним? Это же легко. Это называется прогрессом, вы получаете более мощное снаряжение, которое упрощает игру, это здравый смысл и ничего сложного. The Shadow side doesn't provide such an easy victory against the Lunar champion, so why should the Lunar side? This mechanic negates the point of opening Shadow Rifts before Lunar Rifts. And the problem isn't me, it's the lack of gameplay variety. What should be varied becomes linear. Fredyvictor
Brightshade Staff do make the Fuelwever fight a lot easier, but i wouldn't say Shadow Rifts Rush vs Lunar Rifts Rush is a fair comparison, since the Lunar Rifts require a lot more effort and resources from the player. Also, characters like Wigfrig (Elding Spear), Winona (Infinite Energy), Wormwood (Brambleshade Armor) are incentivized to complete the "lunar path", since some parts of their kit are locked behind it. For the shadow path, afaik, getting pure horror from Nightmare Werepig is already enough for stuff like Wurt Shadow Merms Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169539-it-is-proposed-to-remove-the-brightshade-staff-ability-to-attack-shadow-creatures-which-are-only-visible-to-those-with-low-sanity/#findComment-1850796 Share on other sites

Sorry for the delay in replying. I didn't even notice it had been that long... To answer your argument: yes, the Celestial Champion requires more resources and time, but the fight against him is easier and doesn't require constant switching between targets and keeping track of multiple things. You need the same resources against him as against any other boss (well, maybe only Weather Pain in stage three). So, there was a strong but not overly difficult boss, and a difficult but average boss (even though he has three phases). And now the fight against the Ancient Fuelweaver has become so much easier without invulnerability that it's comparable to defeating the Celestial Champion in stage one. Doesn't it seem closer to a beating than a battle?..
