The changes added in the follow-up update to Ancient Echoes don't apply to it, i.e., geothermites and the global high temperature of the biome. I recommend spawning the biome yourself using the custom command from this post. The one spawned with this command has missing content. And I would recommend removing this first non-functioning fumarole biome with a Map Editor mod.
