Poopsweats
The survivors are able to build amazing science machines, walls, entire pig houses but can't make a roof for their own home. I suggest adding roofs, they place like turfs and can be destroyed. They require at least 2 or more walls to support them. If you are outside a building with a roof you cannot see inside the building but when you walk into the building the entire roof disappears. If a roof burns it sets anything below it on fire. Roof types: Wooden Thatch Wooden roofs: They are made of wooden planks and cut stone. They prevent rain and snow from getting inside buildings in addition they are able to hold heat meaning a campfire won't be an issue inside. Because they are made of wood, a light source is needed inside. This can be achieved by a fire, an open wall or if you guys really want to have fun you can add windows which can be put in any type of wall. These roofs are helpful but the biggest downside is that since they hold heat it isn't good to have wooden roofs in the summer. Thach roofs: They are made of grass and rope. They block a large amount of light but allow a small amount to seep in. They provide great benefit in the summer as it blocks a large amount of heat but as a downside no fire can be placed inside or else the roof is set ablaze. Unfortunately thatch isn't that great at protecting from rain so that will seep in, less that outside but it still is a problem. Limitations Lightning rods do not work inside Crops do not grow inside Any large structure like pig houses, pearl structures and more cannot be placed inside Overall I think this adds a spin to survival as players have a way to manage seasons much better and influences players to create buildings to benefit their survival. Edited January 11 by Poopsweats I wanted to clarify what happens when a roof is on fire and thatch roofs can't hold water 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169482-roofs/ Share on other sites

gaymime
i play hamlet. enclosed houses have a very different vibe to the current gameplay set-up and changes how the player makes basing choices Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169482-roofs/#findComment-1848487 Share on other sites
Buson
Eu acho que poderia quebrar a dinâmica do jogo, pelo fato das estações de ter que usar guarda chuva na primavera por exemplo, os telhados inibiria isso? No, umbrellas would still be useful as you still would have to leave your base to go exploring same way as in hamlet. So I figured this is the best of both worlds Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/169482-roofs/#findComment-1848507 Share on other sites
