Questions about slime, slime infected poluted oxygen, water shortage and SPOM cooling.

Good day everyone
First of all i want to thank every person who gave me advice under my last post, your advices was very helpful and because of them i progressed a lot.

Now about questions:
1. How can i transoprt slime without it covering atmo suits in slime lung?
2. What can i do with all that leftover slime infected poluted oxygen inside Deodorizers? 

3. I do beleve im running low on water, i have about 53k kg in right pool and about 40k in left one. Any ideas where i can get water outside melting ice tempshift plates above pools and water sieve?
4. So i build electrolizers (thank you @Pproy) but now there is other issue, because oxygen too hot base heating up slowy but surely, any good ways to cool oxygen down?

For the deodorizers, keep them until you find some uranium. Them make radioactive "mechanized airlock" doors next to them, that should kill off the germs. You can also use that to sterilize slime before mining it. 

For water and cooling, you probably want to explore the map for helpful geysers. You can also filter pwater to get more clean water.

Yeah, i thought about filtering pwater but i think i need pwater for cooling loops

1. Decide where to store the slime, limit it to one entrance and install a sink. When mining slime, be sure to drop it into the liquid.

2. No action is required. Bacteria cannot grow in the surrounding oxygen.

3. (Easy method) Build a Tempshift Plate out of ice so that it is submerged in the pool. However, this will halve the mass of the ice when mining.
(Complicated method) Build a kiln or other hot structure where the ice is located to melt it, and then pump the resulting water.
(Difficult method) Find a geyser and somehow extract its heat, then purify or desalinate it for use.

4. Have the water intended for the electrolyzer absorb the heat of oxygen before releasing it. Specifically, build a pool, pump water from it into the electrolyzer, and allow the oxygen released from the electrolyzer to submerge in the pool.

There are dozens tons of pWater on screenshot. Clean it, and it will be enough for next 300 cycles. After that you need to tame geysers. Thats simpliest way to get endless water source

 

Slimelung on atmosuits is fine. It cant harm your dupes. To get ill they have to inhale this germs. So just ignore it. 

For air cleaning you can use buddy buds. Flower scent is germs too, and different type of germs hate each other. So you can replace bad ones with good.

Ah, sorry. I have not done base game in ages.

From the screenshot, you should have plenty of pwater for a while, but ultimately you need to go exploring and finding geysers. Nothing else will save you.

Move oxygen away from the machine and Cooling loop it. Use the water going into the electrolizers to dump the heat from the oxygen xooling loop and to cool the electrolizer room/walls.  

Best to dump all the heat you can intoo the water before electrolizers. 

Later on. Vertical setup with water covered electrolizers to separate gases and minimize space. 

 

Hydrogen is hot and best stored in a sealed environment or used right away with insulation pipes.

1. Should not be an issue on solids. Will die off quickly.

! Best to get slime cleaned up and placed in a sterilizing room before processing it or moving it too much. Kill the germs and it's harmless. 

2. Break it. That last bit may get inhaled but is not that dangerous if your base has clean oxygen supply now. Then it will be gone.

1. Slimelung on solids is harmless on it's own and will die out natually. The only problem is that it could pass on materials that polluted oxygen - polluted dirt, polluted mud, slimelung, bottles of polluted water. You can prevent dupes from touching those things by e.g. mark storages as sweep only until slimelung dies out. As for slime - I usually try to distill all slime into algae and wait for it to die out.

2. Deodorizer is a trap IMO. I purify my base by putting everyoune in atmosuit and filling base with carbon dioxide from the bottom. While opening door to the space at the top.

4. I'll repeat same tip given by the others because it soo good tip. Heat counterflow between produced oxygen and incoming water. There are many ways to do it. I snake incoming water in radiant pipes (or granite) across whole room and also oxygen pipes pass through liquid lock at the entrance. When I stared playing with bionics I understood how important is early electorlyzer + tuned-up hydro generator.

Sorry about the hat problem with your electroliser, I forgot to warn you about that 😅. That said, Im going to take an advice that @Gurgel said last post. To chill your base, you can run water pipe through it and dump the heat with some radient pipe in the ice biome. It will give you plenty of time to get to build an aquatuner chilled by an steam turbine, which will end your heat problem.

For water, you'll need to explore to get some kind of water vent. Chances are though that that source of water will be very hot, so you'll need a cooling solution (aquatuner and steam turbine). That mean, you're now in the race to get steel, plastic and power.

If I can give another tip, be carefull with the main shaft going down your base. It does happen sometime that dupes drop something down there and get in a weird loop where they try to get it back, but can't hold theur breath long enough to make it back.
